Saeed bin al-Musayyab said: A man called Basrah bin Akhtam married a woman. The narrator then reported the rest of the tradition to the same effect. This version added: And he separated them. The tradition narrated by Ibn Juraij is perfect.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا يُقَالُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ بَصْرَةُ بْنُ أَكْثَمَ نَكَحَ امْرَأَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏زَادَ وَفَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَدِيثُ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ أَتَمُّ.
سعید بن مسیب سے روایت ہے کہ   بصرہ بن اکثم نامی ایک شخص نے ایک عورت سے نکاح کیا پھر راوی نے اسی مفہوم کی روایت نقل کی لیکن اس میں اتنا زیادہ ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے درمیان جدائی کرا دی اور ابن جریج والی روایت زیادہ کامل ہے۔

Narrated Hisham bin Urwah: On the authority of his father that Aishah said: O my nephew, the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم did not prefer one of us to the other in respect of his division of the time of his staying with us. It was very rare that he did not visit us any day (i. e. he visited all of us every day). He would come near each of his wives without having intercourse with her until he reached the one who had her day and passed his night with her. When Saudah daughter of Zam'ah became old and feared that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم would divorce her, she said: Messenger of Allah, I give to Aishah the day you visit me. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم accepted it from her. She said: We thing that Allah, the Exalted, revealed about this or similar matter the Quranic verse: If a wife fears cruelty or desertion on her husband's part. . . . [4: 128]

Narrated Aishah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to aske our permission on the day he had to stay with one of his wives (by turns) after the following Quranic verse was revealed: You may distance those whom you like, and draw close to those whom you like [33: 51]. The narrator Muadhah said: I said to her: What did you say to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ? She said: I used to say: If had an option for that, I would not preferred anyone to myself.

Aishah said The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم sent for his wives during his illness. When they got together, he صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said “I am unable to visit all of you. If you think to permit me to stay with Aishah you may do so. ” So they permitted him (to stay with Aishah).

He divided his time, day and night (equally) for each of his wives except that Saudah daughter of Zam’ah gave her day to Aishah.
