Abbas said “When the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم came to Makkah he refused to enter the House (the Kaabah) for there were idols in it. He ordered to take them out and they were taken out. The statues of Abraham and Ismail were taken out and they had arrows in their hands. Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said “May Allaah destroy them! By Allaah, they knew that they never cast lots by arrow. He then entered the House (the Kaabah) and uttered the takbir (Allaah is most great) in all its sides and corners. He then came out and did not pray.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي الْحَجَّاجِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ مَكَّةَ أَبَى أَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْبَيْتَ وَفِيهِ الْآلِهَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَأُخْرِجَتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأُخْرِجَ صُورَةُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَفِي أَيْدِيهِمَا الْأَزْلَامُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ قَاتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ عَلِمُوا مَا اسْتَقْسَمَا بِهَا قَطُّ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ فَكَبَّرَ فِي نَوَاحِيهِ وَفِي زَوَايَاهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ خَرَجَ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ فِيهِ.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب مکہ آئے تو آپ نے کعبہ میں داخل ہونے سے انکار کیا کیونکہ اس میں بت رکھے ہوئے تھے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حکم دیا تو وہ نکال دیئے گئے، اس میں ابراہیم اور اسماعیل علیہما السلام کی تصویریں بھی تھیں، وہ اپنے ہاتھوں میں فال نکالنے کے تیر لیے ہوئے تھے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ انہیں ہلاک کرے، اللہ کی قسم انہیں اچھی طرح معلوم ہے کہ ان دونوں ( ابراہیم اور اسماعیل ) نے کبھی بھی فال نہیں نکالا ، وہ کہتے ہیں: پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بیت اللہ میں داخل ہوئے تو اس کے گوشوں اور کونوں میں تکبیرات بلند کیں، پھر بغیر نماز پڑھے نکل آئے۔

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: I liked to enter the House (the Kabah) and pray therein. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم caught me by hand and admitted me to al-Hijr. He then said: Pray in al-Hijr when you intend to enter the House (the Kabah), for it is a part of the House (the Kabah). Your people shortened it when they built the Kabah, and they took it out of the House.

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم went out from me, while he was happy, but he returned to me while he was sad. He said: I entered the Kabah, I know beforehand about my affair what I have come to know later I would not have entered it. I am afraid I have put my community to hardship.

Al-Aslamiyyah said: I said to Uthman ibn Talhah al-Hajabi): What did the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say to you when he called you? He said: (The Prophet said: ) I forgot to order you to cover the two horns (of the lamb), for it is not advisable that there should be anything in the House (the Kabah) which diverts the attention of the man at prayer. Ibn as-Sarh said: The name of my maternal uncle is Musafi' ibn Shaybah.

Shaibah bin Uthman said “Umar bin Al Khattab was sitting in the place where you are sitting. He said I shall not go out until I distribute the property of The Kaabah. I said “You will not do it. ” He asked “Why?” I said “For the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and Abu Bakr had seen its place and they were more in need of the property than you, but they did not take it out. He (Umar) stood up and went out. ”

Narrated Az-Zubayr: When we came along with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم from Liyyah and we were beside the lote tree, the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم stopped at the end of al-Qarn al-Aswad opposite to it. He then looked at Nakhb or at its valley. He stopped and all the people stopped. He then said: The game of Wajj and its thorny trees are unlawful made unlawful for Allah. This was before he alighted at at-Taif and its fortress for Thaqif.
