Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to say: O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from poverty , lack and abasement, and I seek refuge in Thee lest I cause or suffer wrong.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْقِلَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالذِّلَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ .
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم یہ دعا پڑھتے تھے: «اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الفقر، والقلة، والذلة، وأعوذ بك من أن أظلم أو أظلم» اے اللہ! میں فقر، قلت مال اور ذلت سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں اور اس بات سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں کہ میں کسی پر ظلم کروں یا کوئی مجھ پر ظلم کرے ۱؎ ۔
