Translation

Abu Musa Al-Ashari said: They (the Companions) accompanied the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم while they were climbing the turning of a hill. A man uttered loudly: There is no god but Allah, and Allah is most great when he ascended the hill. The Prophet of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: You are not supplicating one who is deaf or absent. He then said: Abdullah bin Qais. The narrator then transmitted the tradition to the same effect.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُمْ يَتَصَعَّدُونَ فِي ثَنِيَّةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَجَعَلَ رَجُلٌ كُلَّمَا عَلَا الثَّنِيَّةَ نَادَى لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّكُمْ لَا تُنَادُونَ أَصَمَّ وَلَا غَائِبًا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ قَيْسٍ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ.

ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ وہ لوگ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے اور ایک پہاڑی پر چڑھ رہے تھے، ایک شخص تھا، وہ جب بھی پہاڑی پر چڑھتا تو «لا إله إلا الله والله أكبر» پکارتا، اس پر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم لوگ کسی بہرے اور غائب کو نہیں پکار رہے ہو ۔ پھر فرمایا: اے عبداللہ بن قیس! پھر راوی نے اسی مفہوم کی حدیث بیان کی۔

Abu Saeed al-Khudri reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: If anyone says I am pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion and with Muhammad صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as Messenger Paradise will be his due.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: If anyone invokes blessings on me once, Allah will bless him ten times.

Aws bin Was reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: Among the most excellent of your days in Friday ; so invoke many blessings on me on that day, for your blessing will be submitted to me. They (the Companions) asked: Messenger of Allah, how can our blessing be submitted to you, when your body is decayed ? He said: Allah has prohibited the earth from consuming the bodies of Prophets.

Jabir bin Abdullah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: Do not invoke curse on yourselves, and do not invoke curse on your children, and do not invoke curse on your servants, and do not invoke curse on your property, lest you happen to do it at a time when Allah is asked for something and grants your request. Abu Dawud said: This Hadith has a continuous chain of narrators, Ubadah bin Al-Walid bin Ubadah (did) met Jabir.

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: A woman said to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم: Invoke blessing on me as well as on my husband. The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: May Allah send blessing on you and your husband.
