Masruq said: I asked Aishah about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, and I said to her: At what time he prayed at night ? She said: When he heard the cock crow, he got up and prayed.
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ. ح وحَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ وَهَذَا حَدِيثُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْأَشْعَثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقُلْتُ لَهَا:‏‏‏‏ أَيَّ حِينٍ كَانَ يُصَلِّي ؟ قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الصُّرَاخَ قَامَ فَصَلَّى .
مسروق کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز ( تہجد ) کے بارے میں پوچھا: میں نے ان سے کہا: آپ کس وقت نماز پڑھتے تھے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: جب آپ مرغ کی بانگ سنتے تو اٹھ کر کھڑے ہو جاتے اور نماز شروع کر دیتے۔
