Jabir b. 'Abdillah reported that on the day of Ahzab Ubayy received the wound of an arrow in his medial arm vein. Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) cauterised it.

و حَدَّثَنِي بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ رُمِيَ أُبَيٌّ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ عَلَى أَكْحَلِهِ فَكَوَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

سلیمان نے کہا : میں نے ابو سفیان کو سنا ، انھوں نے کہا : میں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ، انھوں نے کہا : غزوہ احزاب میں حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے بازو کی بڑی رگ میں تیر لگا ۔ کہا : تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انھیں داغ لگوایا ۔

Jabir reported that Sa'd b. Mu'adh received a wound of the arrow in his vein. Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) cauterised it with a rod and it was swollen, to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) did it for the second time.

Ibn 'Abbas reported that Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) got himself cupped and gave to the cupper his wages and he put the medicine in the nostril.

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) got himself cupped and never withheld the wages of anyone.

Ibn Umar reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: The fever from the vehement raging of the (heat of Hell), so cool it with the help of water

Ibn Umar reported Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: Fever is due to vehemence of the heat of Hell, so cool it with water.

Ibn Umar reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: Fever is from the vehement raging of the fire of Hell, so extinguish it with water.
