Jabir b. 'Abdullah al-Ansari reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) prohibited the (preparation of) Nabidh by mixing together fresh dates and grapes, and he prohibited the preparation of Nabidh by mixing the fresh dates and unripe dates together.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى أَنْ يُنْبَذَ التَّمْرُ وَالزَّبِيبُ جَمِيعًا وَنَهَى أَنْ يُنْبَذَ الرُّطَبُ وَالْبُسْرُ جَمِيعًا

لیث نے عطاء ابن ابی رباح سے ، انھوں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ انصاری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، انھوں نےرسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سےروایت کی کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نےکھجوروں اور کشمش کو ملا کر نبیذ بنانے سے منع فرمایا اورتازہ کھجوروں اور کچی کھجوروں کو ملا کر نبیذ بنانے سے منع فرمایا ۔

Jabir b. Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: Do not mix fresh dates and dry dates, and grapes and fresh dates for preparing Nabidh.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: He who amongst you drinks Nabidh should drink that (prepared either from) grapes alone, or from dates alone, or from unripe dates alone (and not by mixing them with one another).
