Jabir b. Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: Do not mix fresh dates and dry dates, and grapes and fresh dates for preparing Nabidh.

و حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ح و حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِابْنِ رَافِعٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ قَالَ لِي عَطَاءٌ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ الرُّطَبِ وَالْبُسْرِ وَبَيْنَ الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ نَبِيذًا

ابن جریج نے کہا : عطاء نے مجھ سے کہا کہ میں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ، کہہ رہے تھے : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا؛ " تازوہ کھجوروں اور کچی کھجوروں کو اور کشمش اور خشک کھجوروں کو نبیذ بنانے کے لئے ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ نہ ملاؤ ۔ "

Jabir b. Abdullah al-Ansari reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) Prohibited the preparation of Nabidh by mixing grapes and fresh dates. and he forbade the preparation of Nabidh by mixing unripe dates with fresh dates.

Abu Sa'id reported that Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) prohibited that fresh dates and grapes be mixed together and that fresh dates and unripe dates be mixed together.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: He who amongst you drinks Nabidh should drink that (prepared either from) grapes alone, or from dates alone, or from unripe dates alone (and not by mixing them with one another).

Isma'il b. Muslim al-'Abadi reported on the authority of the same chain of transmitters: Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) prohibited us that we should mix dry dates with unripe dates or (mix) grapes with dry dates (and prepare Nabidh). He also said: He who amongst you drinks-the rest of the hadith is the same.
