Translation

Ma`mar (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: He who hoards is a sinner. It was said to Sa`id (b. al-Musayyib): You also hoard. Sa`id said: Ma`mar who narrated this hadith also hoarded.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ قَعْنَبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ، يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ مَعْمَرًا، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنِ احْتَكَرَ فَهُوَ خَاطِئٌ»، فَقِيلَ لِسَعِيدٍ: فَإِنَّكَ تَحْتَكِرُ، قَالَ سَعِيدٌ: إِنَّ مَعْمَرًا الَّذِي كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، كَانَ يَحْتَكِرُ

سلیمان بن بلال نے ہمیں یحییٰ بن سعید سے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے کہا : سعید بن مسیب حدیث بیان کرتے تھے کہ حضرت معمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " جس نے ذخیرہ اندوزی کی وہ گناہ گار ہے ۔ " سعید سے کہا گیا : آپ خود ( کھانے کی بنیادی چیزوں کے سوا دوسری اشیاء میں ) ذخیرہ اندوزی کرتے ہیں؟ سعید نے کہا : حضرت معمر رضی اللہ عنہ جو یہ حدیث بیان کرتے تھے ، وہ بھی ( اس طرح کی ) ذخیرہ اندوزی کرتے تھے ۔

Ma'mar b. Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: No one hoards but the sinner.

Abu Qatada al-Ansari (Allah be pleased with him) reported he heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) say: Beware of swearing; it produces a ready sale for a commodity, but blots out the blessing.

Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: He who has a partner in a dwelling or a garden, it is not lawful for him to sell that until he is permitted by his partner. If he (the partner) agrees, he should go in for that, and if he disapproves of that, he should abandon (the idea of selling it).

Jabir bin 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) said that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) decreed pre-emption in every joint ownership and not divided-the one-it may be a dwelling or a garden. It is not lawful for him (for the partner) to sell that until his partner gives his consent. He (the partner) is entitled to buy it when he desires and he can abandon it if he so likes. And if he (the one partner) sells it without getting the consent of the (other partner), he has the greatest right to it.
