This hadith has been narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah b. Dinar with the same chain of transmitters but these words are not found in it. When he buys he should say: There should be no attempt to deceive.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ، وَلَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِهِمَا: فَكَانَ إِذَا بَايَعَ يَقُولُ: لَا خِيَابَةَ

سفیان اور شعبہ دونوں نے عبداللہ بن دینار سے اسی سند کے ساتھ اسی کے مانند حدیث بیان کی ، لیکن ان دونوں کی حدیث میں یہ الفاظ نہیں ہیں : وہ جب سودا کرتا تو کہتا تھا : دھوکا نہیں ہو گا

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) forbade the sale of fruits until they were clearly in good condition, he forbade it both to the seller and to the buyer.

Another chain on the authority of Ibn 'Umar narrated the same as the above hadith.

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) forbade the sale of palm-trees (i. e. their trults) until the dates began to ripen, and ears of corn until they were white and were safe from blight. He forbade the seller and the buyer.

Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: Do not buy fruit until its good condition becomes clear, and (the danger) of blight is no more. He said: Its good condition becoming clear implies that it becomes red or yellow.
