This hadith has been narrated by Shu'ba with the same chain of transmitters (but with a slight variation of words, that he said): (O Allah), bless them.
وَحَدَّثَنَاه ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «صَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ»
  عبد اللہ بن ادریس نے شعبہ سے اسی سند کے ساتھ حدیث بیان کی البتہ انھوں نے أل ابي اوفي کے بجا ئے ان سب پر رحمت بھیج " کہا ۔

He then said: Fast when you see it, and break your fast when you see it, and if the weather is cloudy calculate it (the months of Sha'ban and Shawwal) as thirty days.
