Muhammad reported: I asked Anas whether the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) observed Qunut in the dawn prayer. He said: Yes, (he did so) after the ruku', for a short while.

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَنَسٍ: هَلْ قَنَتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، بَعْدَ الرُّكُوعِ يَسِيرًا

محمد ( بن سیرین ) سے روایت ہے ، کہا : میں نے حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا : کیا رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ( کبھی ) صبح کی نماز میں قنو ت کی تھی؟ کہا : ہاں ، رکوع سے تھوڑی دیر بعد ۔

Anas b. Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) observed Qunut for a month in the dawn prayer after ruku' and invoked curse upon Ri'l, Dhakwan, and said that 'Usayya had disobeyed Allah and His Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ).

Anas b. Malik reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) observed Qunut for a month in the dawn prayer after ruku' and invoked curse upon Bani Usayya.

Asim reported: I asked Anas whether Qunut was observed (by the Holy prophet) before ruku' or after ruku'. He replied: Before ruku'. I said: People conceive that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) observed Qunut after the ruku'. He said: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) observed Qunut (after the ruku' as the people conceive it) for a mouth invoking curse upon those persons who had killed men among his Companions who were called the reciter (of the Qur'an).

Asim reported - I heard Anas saying: Never did I ace the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) so much grieved (at the loss of a) small army as I saw him grieved at those seventy men who were called reciters (and were killed) at Bi'r Ma'una; and he invoked curse for full one month upon their murderers.
