Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: The similitude of five prayers is like an overflowing river passing by the gate of one of you in which he washes five times daily Hasan said: No filthiness can remain on him.

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَثَلُ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسِ كَمَثَلِ نَهْرٍ جَارٍ، غَمْرٍ عَلَى بَابِ أَحَدِكُمْ، يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ». قَالَ: قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: «وَمَا يُبْقِي ذَلِكَ مِنَ الدَّرَنِ؟»

اعمش نے ابو سفیان ( طلحہ بن نافع ) سے ، انھوں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ‘ ‘ پانچ نمازوں کی مثال تم میں سے کسی ایک کے دروازے پر چلتی ہویئ بہت بڑی نہر کی سی ہے ، وہ اس میں سے روزانہ پانچ دفعہ غسل کرتا ہو ۔ ’’ ( اعمش نے ابوسفیان کی بجائے حسن کے حوالے سے روایت کرتے ہوئے ) کہا : حسن نے کہا : یہ غسل اس کے جسم پر کوئی میل کچیل نہیں چھوڑے گا ۔

Ata' b. Yasar reported, on the authority of Abu Huraira, the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: He who went towards the mosque in the morning or evening, Allah would arrange a feast for him morning or evening in Paradise.

Simak b. Harb reported: I said to Jabir b. Samura: Did you sit in the company of the Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him)? He said: Yes, very often. He (the Holy Prophet) used to sit at the place where he observed the morning or dawn prayer till the sun rose or when it had risen; he would stand, and they (his Companions) would talk about matters (pertaining to the days) of ignorance, and they would laugh (on these matters) while (the Holy Prophet) only smiled.

Simak narrated on the authority of Jabir b. Samura that when the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) observed the dawn prayer, he sat at the place of worship till the sun had risen enough.

Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: The parts of land dearest to Allah are its mosques, and the parts most hateful to Allah are markets.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: When there are three persons, one of them should lead them. The one among them most worthy to act as Imam is one who is best versed in the Qur'an.
