Abu Hazim reported: They (the people) came to Sahl b. Sa'd and they asked him of what thing the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) was made, and the rest of the hadith is the same.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ الْقَارِيُّ الْقُرَشِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَازِمٍ، أَنَّ رِجَالًا أَتَوْا سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ ح قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، قَالَ: أَتَوْا سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ فَسَأَلُوهُ: مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ مِنْبَرُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ وَسَاقُوا الْحَدِيثَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ

یعقوب بن عبدالرحمن بن محمد بن عبداللہ بن عبد ، قار ی قرشی نے کہا : مجھے ابو حازم نے حدیث سنائی کہ کچھ لوگ حضرت سہل بن سعد ساعدی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے پاس آئے ، نیز سفیان بن عیینہ نے ابو حازم سے حدیث سنائی کہ لوگ سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے پاس آئے اور ان سے پوچھا : نبی اکرم ﷺ کا منبر کس ( لکڑی ) سے ( بنا ہوا ) ہے ....... ( آگے ) ابن ابی حازم کی روایت کی حدیث کی طرح ہے ۔

Abu Huraira reported from the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) that he forbade keeping one's hand on one's waist while praying, and in the narration of Abu Bakr (the words are): The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) forbade to do so.

Mu'aiqib quoted the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) mentioning the removal of pebbles from the ground where he prostrated himself. He (the Prophet) said: It you must do so, do it only once.

Mu'aiqib said: They asked the Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) about the removal of (pebbles) in prayer, whereupon he said: If you do it, do it only once.

Abdullah b. Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) saw spittle on the wall towards Qibla, and scratched it away and then turning to the people said: When any one of you prays, he must not spit in front of him, for Allah is in front of him when he is engaged in prayer.
