This hadith has been narrated by some other narrators, Ibn 'Abbas and others, and they all reported that 'Ali said: The Apostle of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) forbade me to recite the Qur'an while I am in a state of bowing and prostration, and in their narration (there is a mention of) forbiddance from that (recital) in the state of prostration as it has been transmitted by Zuhri, Zaid b. Aslam, al-Wahid b. Kathir, and Dawud b. Qais.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ح، وَحَدَّثَنِي عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، ح قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ح قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَهُوَ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، ح قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ وَقُتَيْبَةُ، وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنُونَ ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو، ح قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ كُلُّ هَؤُلَاءِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، إِلَّا الضَّحَّاكَ، وَابْنَ عَجْلَانَ، فَإِنَّهُمَا زَادَا عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُلُّهُمْ قَالُوا: نَهَانِي عَنْ قِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ، وَأَنَا رَاكِعٌ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِي رِوَايَتِهِمُ النَّهْيَ عَنْهَا فِي السُّجُودِ كَمَا ذَكَرَ الزُّهْرِيُّ، وَزَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ، وَالْوَلِيدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، وَدَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ،

نافع ، یزید بن ابی حبیب ، ضحاک بن عثمان ، ابن عجلان ، اسامہ بن زید ، محمد بن عمرو اور محمد بن اسحاق سب نے مختلف سندوں سے ابراہیم بن عبد اللہ حنین سے ، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے اور انہوں نے حضرت علی ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ روایت کی ، البتہ ان میں ضحاک اور ابن عجلان نے اضافہ کرتے ہوئے کہا : حضرت ابن عباس سے روایت ہے ، انہوں نے حضرت علی سے ، انہوں نے رسول اللہﷺ سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے مجھے رکوع کی حالت میں قرآن کی قراءت سے روکا اور ان میں سے کسی نے اپنی روایت میں ( ابراہیم کے پچھلی روایتوں : 1076 ۔ 1079 میں مذکورہ شاگردوں ) زہری ، زید بن اسلم ، ولید بن کثیر اور داؤد بن قیس کی روایات کی طرح سجدے میں قراءت کرنے سے روکنے کا ذکر نہیں کیا

Ibn 'Abbas reported: I was forbidden to recite (the Qur'an) while I was bowing, and there is no mention of 'Ali in the chain of transmitters.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: The nearest a servant comes to his Lord is when he is prostrating himself, so make supplication (in this state).

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) used to say while prostrating himself: O Lord, forgive me all my sins, small and great, first and last, open and secret.

A'isha reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him') often said while bowing and prostrating himself: Glory be to Thee, O Allah, our Lord, and praise be to Thee, O Allah, forgive me, thus complying with the (command in) the Qur'an.

A'isha reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) before his death recited often: Hallowed be Thou, and with Thy praise, I seek forgiveness from Thee and return to Thee. She reported: I said: Messenger of Allah, what are these words that I find you reciting? He said: There has been made a sign for me in my Ummah; when I saw that, I uttered them (these words of glorification for Allah), and the sign is: When Allah's help and victory..... to the end of the surah.
