Narrated Usama bin Zaid: Once the Prophet stood over one of the high buildings of Medina and then said (to the people), Do you see what I see? They said, No. He said, I see afflictions falling among your houses as rain drops fall.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ . ح وحَدَّثَنِي مَحْمُودٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ،عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : أَشْرَفَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أُطُمٍ مِنْ آطَامِ الْمَدِينَةِ ، فَقَالَ : هَلْ تَرَوْنَ مَا أَرَى ؟ ، قَالُوا : لَا ، قَالَ : فَإِنِّي لَأَرَى الْفِتَنَ تَقَعُ خِلَالَ بُيُوتِكُمْ كَوَقْعِ الْقَطْرِ .

ہم سے ابونعیم فضل بن دکین نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے زہری نے (دوسری سند) امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ نے کہا کہ اور مجھ سے محمود بن غیلان نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو عبدالرزاق نے خبر دی، انہیں معمر نے خبر دی، انہیں زہری نے، انہیں عروہ نے اور ان سے اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مدینہ کے ٹیلوں میں سے ایک ٹیلے پر چڑھے پھر فرمایا کہ میں جو کچھ دیکھتا ہوں تم بھی دیکھتے ہو؟ لوگوں نے کہا کہ نہیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میں فتنوں کو دیکھتا ہوں کہ وہ بارش کے قطروں کی طرح تمہارے گھروں میں داخل ہو رہے ہیں۔

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, Time will pass rapidly, good deeds will decrease, miserliness will be thrown (in the hearts of the people) afflictions will appear and there will be much 'Al-Harj. They said, O Allah's Apostle! What is Al-Harj? He said, Killing! Killing! (See Hadith No. 63, Vol. 8)

Narrated `Abdullah and Abu Musa: The Prophet said, Near the establishment of the Hour there will be days during which Religious ignorance will spread, knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and there will be much Al-Harj, and Al- Harj means killing.

Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said, Near the establishment of the Hour there will be days during which (religious) knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and general ignorance will spread, and there will be Al-Harj in abundance, and Al-Harj means killing.

Abu Musa said, Al-Harj, in the Ethiopian language, means killing.
