Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, Time will pass rapidly, good deeds will decrease, miserliness will be thrown (in the hearts of the people) afflictions will appear and there will be much 'Al-Harj. They said, O Allah's Apostle! What is Al-Harj? He said, Killing! Killing! (See Hadith No. 63, Vol. 8)

حَدَّثَنَا عَيَّاشُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ ، وَيَنْقُصُ الْعَمَلُ ، وَيُلْقَى الشُّحُّ ، وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ ، وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُّمَ هُوَ ؟ ، قَالَ : الْقَتْلُ الْقَتْلُ ، وَقَالَ شُعَيْبٌ ، وَيُونُسُ ، وَاللَّيْثُ ، وَابْنُ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

ہم سے عیاش بن الولید نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم کو عبدالاعلیٰ نے خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے معمر نے بیان کیا، ان سے زہری نے، ان سے سوید بن مسیب نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”زمانہ قریب ہوتا جائے گا اور عمل کم ہوتا جائے گا اور لالچ دلوں میں ڈال دیا جائے گا اور فتنے ظاہر ہونے لگیں گے اور «هرج» کی کثرت ہو جائے گی۔“ لوگوں نے سوال کیا: یا رسول اللہ! یہ «هرج» کیا چیز ہے؟ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ قتل! قتل!۔ اور یونس اور لیث اور زہری کے بھتیجے نے بیان کیا، ان سے زہری نے، ان سے حمید نے، ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے۔

Narrated `Abdullah and Abu Musa: The Prophet said, Near the establishment of the Hour there will be days during which Religious ignorance will spread, knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and there will be much Al-Harj, and Al- Harj means killing.

Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said, Near the establishment of the Hour there will be days during which (religious) knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and general ignorance will spread, and there will be Al-Harj in abundance, and Al-Harj means killing.

Narrated `Abdullah: The Prophet said, Near the establishment of the Hour, there will be the days of Al-Harj, and the religious knowledge will be taken away (vanish i.e. by the death of Religious scholars) and general ignorance will spread. Abu Musa said, Al-Harj, in the Ethiopian language, means killing.
