Translation

Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet said: On the Day of Resurrection a group of companions will come to me, but will be driven away from the Lake-Fount, and I will say, 'O Lord (those are) my companions!' It will be said, 'You have no knowledge as to what they innovated after you left; they turned apostate as renegades (reverted from Islam).

وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شَبِيبِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْحَبَطِيُّ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : يَرِدُ عَلَيَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ رَهْطٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي ، فَيُحَلَّئُونَ عَنِ الْحَوْضِ ، فَأَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ ، أَصْحَابِي ، فَيَقُولُ : إِنَّكَ لَا عِلْمَ لَكَ بِمَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ ، إِنَّهُمُ ارْتَدُّوا عَلَى أَدْبَارِهِمُ الْقَهْقَرَى .

احمد بن شبیب بن سعید حبطی نے بیان کیا، ان سے ان کے والد نے بیان کیا، ان سے یونس نے، ان سے ابن شہاب نے، ان سے سعید بن مسیب نے، ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ وہ بیان کرتے تھے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”قیامت کے دن میرے صحابہ میں سے ایک جماعت مجھ پر پیش کی جائے گی۔ پھر وہ حوض سے دور کر دئیے جائیں گے۔ میں عرض کروں گا: اے میرے رب! یہ تو میرے صحابہ ہیں۔ اللہ تعالیٰ فرمائے گا کہ تمہیں معلوم نہیں کہ انہوں نے تمہارے بعد کیا کیا نئی چیزیں گھڑ لی تھیں؟ یہ لوگ ( دین سے ) الٹے قدموں واپس لوٹ گئے تھے۔“ ( دوسری سند ) شعیب بن ابی حمزہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے زہری نے کہ ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے حوالے سے «فيجلون» ( بجائے «فيحلؤون» ) کے بیان کرتے تھے۔ اور عقیل «فيحلؤون» بیان کرتے تھے اور زبیدی نے بیان کیا، ان سے زہری نے، ان سے محمد بن علی نے، ان سے عبیداللہ بن ابی رافع نے، ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے۔

Narrated Ibn Al-Musaiyab: The companions of the Prophet said, Some men from my companions will come to my Lake-Fount and they will be driven away from it, and I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, While I was sleeping, a group (of my followers were brought close to me), and when I recognized them, a man (an angel) came out from amongst (us) me and them, he said (to them), 'Come along.' I asked, 'Where?' He said, 'To the (Hell) Fire, by Allah' I asked, 'what is wrong with them' He said, 'They turned apostate as renegades after you left.' Then behold! (Another) group (of my followers) were brought close to me, and when I recognized them, a man (an angel) came out from (me and them) he said (to them); Come along.' I asked, Where?' He said, 'To the (Hell) Fire, by Allah.' I asked, What is wrong with them?' He said, 'They turned apostate as renegades after you left. So I did not see anyone of them escaping except a few who were like camels without a shepherd.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, Between my house and my pulpit there is a garden from amongst the gardens of Paradise, and my pulpit is over my Lake-Fount.

Narrated `Uqba bin 'Amir: Once the Prophet went out and offered the funeral prayers for the martyrs of Uhud, and then went to the pulpit and said, I am a predecessor for you and I am a witness for you: and by Allah, I am looking at my Fount just now, and the keys of the treasures of the earth (or the keys of the earth) have been given to me: and by Allah, I am not afraid that you will worship others besides Allah after me, but I am afraid that you will strive and struggle against each other over these treasures of the world.

Narrated Haritha bin Wahb: I heard the Prophet mentioning the Lake-Fount (Al-Kauthar), saying, (The width of the Lake-Fount) is equal to the distance between Medina and Sana' (capital of Yemen).
