Narrated Ibn Al-Musaiyab: The companions of the Prophet said, Some men from my companions will come to my Lake-Fount and they will be driven away from it, and I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' It will be said, 'You have no knowledge of what they innovated after you left: they turned apostate as renegades (reverted from Islam).

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : يَرِدُ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ رِجَالٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي فَيُحَلَّئُونَ عَنْهُ ، فَأَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ ، أَصْحَابِي ، فَيَقُولُ : إِنَّكَ لَا عِلْمَ لَكَ بِمَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ ، إِنَّهُمُ ارْتَدُّوا عَلَى أَدْبَارِهِمُ الْقَهْقَرَى ، وَقَالَ شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، كَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : فَيُجْلَوْنَ ، وَقَالَ عُقَيْلٌ : فَيُحَلَّئُونَ ، وَقَالَ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

ہم سے احمد بن صالح نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے ابن وہب نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھ سے یونس نے خبر دی، انہیں ابن شہاب نے، انہیں ابن مسیب نے، وہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے صحابہ سے روایت کرتے تھے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”حوض پر میرے صحابہ کی ایک جماعت آئے گی۔ پھر انہیں اس سے دور کر دیا جائے گا۔ میں عرض کروں گا میرے رب! یہ تو میرے صحابہ ہیں۔ اللہ تعالیٰ فرمائے گا کہ تمہیں معلوم نہیں کہ انہوں نے تمہارے بعد کیا کیا نئی چیزیں ایجاد کر لی تھیں، یہ الٹے پاؤں ( اسلام سے ) واپس لوٹ گئے تھے۔“

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, While I was sleeping, a group (of my followers were brought close to me), and when I recognized them, a man (an angel) came out from amongst (us) me and them, he said (to them), 'Come along.' I asked, 'Where?' He said, 'To the (Hell) Fire, by Allah' I asked, 'what is wrong with them' He said, 'They turned apostate as renegades after you left.' Then behold! (Another) group (of my followers) were brought close to me, and when I recognized them, a man (an angel) came out from (me and them) he said (to them); Come along.' I asked, Where?' He said, 'To the (Hell) Fire, by Allah.' I asked, What is wrong with them?' He said, 'They turned apostate as renegades after you left. So I did not see anyone of them escaping except a few who were like camels without a shepherd.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, Between my house and my pulpit there is a garden from amongst the gardens of Paradise, and my pulpit is over my Lake-Fount.

Narrated `Uqba bin 'Amir: Once the Prophet went out and offered the funeral prayers for the martyrs of Uhud, and then went to the pulpit and said, I am a predecessor for you and I am a witness for you: and by Allah, I am looking at my Fount just now, and the keys of the treasures of the earth (or the keys of the earth) have been given to me: and by Allah, I am not afraid that you will worship others besides Allah after me, but I am afraid that you will strive and struggle against each other over these treasures of the world.

Narrated Haritha bin Wahb: I heard the Prophet mentioning the Lake-Fount (Al-Kauthar), saying, (The width of the Lake-Fount) is equal to the distance between Medina and Sana' (capital of Yemen).

Haritha said that he heard the Prophet saying that his Lake-Fount would be as large as the distance between Sana' and Medina. Al- Mustaurid said to Haritha, Didn't you hear him talking about the vessels? He said, No. Al- Mustaurid said, The vessels are seen in it as (numberless as) the stars.
