Narrated `Aisha: Some Muslim men emigrated to Ethiopia whereupon Abu Bakr also prepared himself for the emigration, but the Prophet said (to him), Wait, for I hope that Allah will allow me also to emigrate. Abu Bakr said, Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you. Do you hope that (emigration)? The Prophet said, 'Yes. So Abu Bakr waited to accompany the Prophet and fed two she-camels he had on the leaves of As-Samur tree regularly for four months One day while we were sitting in our house at midday, someone said to Abu Bakr, Here is Allah's Apostle, coming with his head and a part of his face covered with a cloth-covering at an hour he never used to come to us. Abu Bakr said, Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you, (O Prophet)! An urgent matter must have brought you here at this hour. The Prophet came and asked the permission to enter, and he was allowed. The Prophet entered and said to Abu Bakr, Let those who are with you, go out. Abu Bakr replied, (There is no stranger); they are your family. Let my father be sacrificed for you, O Allah's Apostle! The Prophet said, I have been allowed to leave (Mecca). Abu Bakr said, I shall accompany you, O Allah's Apostle, Let my father be sacrificed for you! The Prophet said, Yes, Abu Bakr said, 'O Allah's Apostles! Let my father be sacrificed for you. Take one of these two shecamels of mine The Prophet said. I will take it only after paying its price. So we prepared their baggage and put their journey food In a leather bag. And Asma' bint Abu Bakr cut a piece of her girdle and tied the mouth of the leather bag with it. That is why she was called Dhatan- Nitaqaln. Then the Prophet and Abu Bakr went to a cave in a mountain called Thour and remained there for three nights. `Abdullah bin Abu Bakr. who was a young intelligent man. used to stay with them at night and leave before dawn so that in the morning, he would he with the Quraish at Mecca as if he had spent the night among them. If he heard of any plot contrived by the Quraish against the Prophet and Abu Bakr, he would understand it and (return to) inform them of it when it became dark. 'Amir bin Fuhaira, the freed slave of Abu Bakr used to graze a flock of milch sheep for them and he used to take those sheep to them when an hour had passed after the `Isha prayer. They would sleep soundly till 'Amir bin Fuhaira awakened them when it was still dark. He used to do that in each of those three nights.

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : هَاجَرَ نَاسٌ إِلَى الْحَبَشَةِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، وَتَجَهَّزَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُهَاجِرًا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : عَلَى رِسْلِكَ فَإِنِّي أَرْجُو أَنْ يُؤْذَنَ لِي ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : أَوَ تَرْجُوهُ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَحَبَسَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ نَفْسَهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، لِصُحْبَتِهِ وَعَلَفَ رَاحِلَتَيْنِ كَانَتَا عِنْدَهُ ، وَرَقَ السَّمُرِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ ، قَالَ عُرْوَةُ : قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : فَبَيْنَا نَحْنُ يَوْمًا جُلُوسٌ فِي بَيْتِنَا فِي نَحْرِ الظَّهِيرَةِ ، فَقَالَ قَائِلٌ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ : هَذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُقْبِلًا مُتَقَنِّعًا ، فِي سَاعَةٍ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَأْتِينَا فِيهَا ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : فِدًا لَكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي ، وَاللَّهِ إِنْ جَاءَ بِهِ فِي هَذِهِ السَّاعَةِ إِلَّا لِأَمْرٍ ، فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَأْذَنَ ، فَأَذِنَ لَهُ ، فَدَخَلَ ، فَقَالَ حِينَ دَخَلَ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ : أَخْرِجْ مَنْ عِنْدَكَ ، قَالَ : إِنَّمَا هُمْ أَهْلُكَ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : فَإِنِّي قَدْ أُذِنَ لِي فِي الْخُرُوجِ ، قَالَ : فَالصُّحْبَةُ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَخُذْ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِحْدَى رَاحِلَتَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالثَّمَنِ قَالَتْ : فَجَهَّزْنَاهُمَا أَحَثَّ الْجِهَازِ ، وَضَعْنَا لَهُمَا سُفْرَةً فِي جِرَابٍ فَقَطَعَتْ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قِطْعَةً مِنْ نِطَاقِهَا ، فَأَوْكَأَتْ بِهِ الْجِرَابَ ، وَلِذَلِكَ كَانَتْ تُسَمَّى ذَاتَ النِّطَاقِ ، ثُمَّ لَحِقَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ بِغَارٍ فِي جَبَلٍ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ ثَوْرٌ ، فَمَكُثَ فِيهِ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ ، يَبِيتُ عِنْدَهُمَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَهُوَ غُلَامٌ شَابٌّ ، لَقِنٌ ثَقِفٌ فَيَرْحَلُ مِنْ عِنْدِهِمَا سَحَرًا ، فَيُصْبِحُ مَعَ قُرَيْشٍ بِمَكَّةَ كَبَائِتٍ ، فَلَا يَسْمَعُ أَمْرًا يُكَادَانِ بِهِ إِلَّا وَعَاهُ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُمَا بِخَبَرِ ذَلِكَ حِينَ يَخْتَلِطُ الظَّلَامُ ، وَيَرْعَى عَلَيْهِمَا عَامِرُ بْنُ فُهَيْرَةَ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ مِنْحَةً مِنْ غَنَمٍ فَيُرِيحُهَا عَلَيْهِمَا حِينَ تَذْهَبُ سَاعَةٌ مِنَ الْعِشَاءِ ، فَيَبِيتَانِ فِي رِسْلِهِمَا حَتَّى يَنْعِقَ بِهَا عَامِرُ بْنُ فُهَيْرَةَ ، بِغَلَسٍ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ تِلْكَ اللَّيَالِي الثَّلَاثِ .

ہم سے ابراہیم بن موسیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو ہشام بن عروہ نے خبر دی، انہیں معمر نے، انہیں زہری نے، انہیں عروہ نے اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ بہت سے مسلمان حبشہ ہجرت کر کے چلے گئے اور ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ بھی ہجرت کی تیاریاں کرنے لگے لیکن نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ابھی ٹھہر جاؤ کیونکہ مجھے بھی امید ہے کہ مجھے ( ہجرت کی ) اجازت دی جائے گی۔ ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا: کیا آپ کو بھی امید ہے؟ میرا باپ آپ پر قربان۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ہاں۔ چنانچہ ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ رہنے کے خیال سے رک گئے اور اپنی دو اونٹنیوں کو ببول کے پتے کھلا کر چار مہینے تک انہیں خوب تیار کرتے رہے۔ عروہ نے بیان کیا کہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا ہم ایک دن دوپہر کے وقت اپنے گھر میں بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ ایک شخص نے ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سر ڈھکے ہوئے تشریف لا رہے ہیں۔ اس وقت عموماً نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے یہاں تشریف نہیں لاتے تھے۔ ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا میرے ماں باپ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر قربان ہوں، نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایسے وقت کسی وجہ ہی سے تشریف لا سکتے ہیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مکان پر پہنچ کر اجازت چاہی اور ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ نے انہیں اجازت دی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اندر تشریف لائے اور اندر داخل ہوتے ہی ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ سے فرمایا کہ جو لوگ تمہارے پاس اس وقت ہیں انہیں اٹھا دو۔ ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کی میرا باپ آپ پر قربان ہو یا رسول اللہ! یہ سب آپ کے گھر ہی کے افراد ہیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ مجھے ہجرت کی اجازت مل گئی ہے۔ ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کی پھر یا رسول اللہ! مجھے رفاقت کا شرف حاصل رہے گا؟ آپ نے فرمایا کہ ہاں۔ عرض کی یا رسول اللہ! میرے باپ آپ پر قربان ہوں ان دو اونٹنیوں میں سے ایک آپ لے لیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا لیکن قیمت سے۔ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ پھر ہم نے بہت جلدی جلدی سامان سفر تیار کیا اور سفر کا ناشتہ ایک تھیلے میں رکھا۔ اسماء بنت ابی بکر رضی اللہ عنہا نے اپنے پٹکے کے ایک ٹکڑے سے تھیلہ کے منہ کو باندھا۔ اسی وجہ سے انہیں ”ذات النطاق“ ( پٹکے والی ) کہنے لگے۔ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ ثور نامی پہاڑ کی ایک غار میں جا کر چھپ گئے اور تین دن تک اسی میں ٹھہرے رہے۔ عبداللہ بن ابی بکر رضی اللہ عنہما رات آپ حضرات کے پاس ہی گزارتے تھے۔ وہ نوجوان ذہین اور سمجھدار تھے۔ صبح تڑکے میں وہاں سے چل دیتے تھے اور صبح ہوتے ہوتے مکہ کے قریش میں پہنچ جاتے تھے۔ جیسے رات میں مکہ ہی میں رہے ہوں۔ مکہ مکرمہ میں جو بات بھی ان حضرات کے خلاف ہوتی اسے محفوظ رکھتے اور جوں ہی رات کا اندھیرا چھا جاتا غار ثور میں ان حضرات کے پاس پہنچ کر تمام تفصیلات کی اطلاع دیتے۔ ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے مولیٰ عامر بن فہیرہ رضی اللہ عنہ دودھ دینے والی بکریاں چراتے تھے اور جب رات کا ایک حصہ گزر جاتا تو ان بکریوں کو غار ثور کی طرف ہانک لاتے تھے۔ آپ حضرات بکریوں کے دودھ پر رات گزارتے اور صبح کی پو پھٹتے ہی عامر بن فہیرہ رضی اللہ عنہ وہاں سے روانہ ہو جاتے۔ ان تین راتوں میں انہوں نے ہر رات ایسا ہی کیا۔

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Once I was walking with Allah's Apostle and he was wearing a Najram Burd with thick margin. A bedouin followed him and pulled his Burd so violently that I noticed the side of the shoulder of Allah's Apostle affected by the margin of the Burd because of that violent pull. The Bedouin said, O Muhammad! Give me some of Allah's wealth which is with you. Allah's Apostle turned and looked at him, and smiling, 'he ordered that he be given something.

Narrated Abu Hazim: Shahl bin Sa`d said, A lady came with a Burda. Sahl then asked (the people), Do you know what Burda is? Somebody said, Yes. it is a Shamla with a woven border. Sahl added, The lady said, 'O Allah's Apostle! I have knitted this (Burda) with my own hands for you to wear it. Allah's Apostle took it and he was in need of it. Allah's Apostle came out to us and he was wearing it as an Izar. A man from the people felt it and said, 'O Allah's Apostle! Give it to me to wear.' The Prophet s said, 'Yes.' Then he sat there for some time (and when he went to his house), he folded it and sent it to him. The people said to that man, 'You have not done a right thing. You asked him for it, though you know that he does not put down anybody's request.' The man said, 'By Allah! I have only asked him so that it may be my shroud when I die. Sahl added, Late it was his shroud.

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Apostle saying From among my followers, a group (o 70,000) will enter Paradise without being asked for their accounts, Their faces will be shining like the moon. 'Ukasha bin Muhsin Al-Asadi got up, lifting his covering sheet and said, O Allah's Apostle Invoke Allah for me that He may include me with them. The Prophet said! O Allah! Make him from them. Then another man from Al-Ansar got up and said, O Allah's Apostle! Invoke Allah for me that He may include me with them. On that Allah's Apostle said, 'Ukasha has anticipated you.
