Narrated al-Qasim: Aisha said that whenever the Prophet intended to go on a journey, he drew lots among his wives (so as to take one of them along with him). During one of his journeys the lot fell on `Aisha and Hafsa. When night fell the Prophet would ride beside `Aisha and talk with her. One night Hafsa said to `Aisha, Won't you ride my camel tonight and I ride yours, so that you may see (me) and I see (you) (in new situation)? `Aisha said, Yes, (I agree.) So `Aisha rode, and then the Prophet came towards `Aisha's camel on which Hafsa was riding. He greeted Hafsa and then proceeded (beside her) till they dismounted (on the way). `Aisha missed him, and so, when they dismounted, she put her legs in the Idhkhir and said, O Lord (Allah)! Send a scorpion or a snake to bite me for I am not to blame him (the Prophet ).

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ أَيْمَنَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ أَقْرَعَ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ ، فَطَارَتِ الْقُرْعَةُ لِعَائِشَةَ وَحَفْصَةَ ، وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ بِاللَّيْلِ سَارَ مَعَ عَائِشَةَ يَتَحَدَّثُ ، فَقَالَتْ حَفْصَةُ : أَلَا تَرْكَبِينَ اللَّيْلَةَ بَعِيرِي وَأَرْكَبُ بَعِيرَكِ تَنْظُرِينَ وَأَنْظُرُ ، فَقَالَتْ : بَلَى ، فَرَكِبَتْ ، فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى جَمَلِ عَائِشَةَ وَعَلَيْهِ حَفْصَةُ ، فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهَا ، ثُمَّ سَارَ حَتَّى نَزَلُوا وَافْتَقَدَتْهُ عَائِشَةُ ، فَلَمَّا نَزَلُوا جَعَلَتْ رِجْلَيْهَا بَيْنَ الْإِذْخِرِ ، وَتَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ ، سَلِّطْ عَلَيَّ عَقْرَبًا أَوْ حَيَّةً تَلْدَغُنِي وَلَا أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أَقُولَ لَهُ شَيْئًا .

ہم سے ابونعیم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالواحد بن ایمن نے، کہا کہ مجھ سے ابن ابی ملیکہ نے، ان سے قاسم نے اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب سفر کا ارادہ کرتے تو اپنی ازواج کے لیے قرعہ ڈالتے۔ ایک مرتبہ قرعہ عائشہ اور حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہما کے نام نکلا۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رات کے وقت معمولاً چلتے وقت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے ساتھ باتیں کرتے ہوئے چلتے۔ ایک مرتبہ حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے ان سے کہا کہ آج رات کیوں نہ تم میرے اونٹ پر سوار ہو جاؤ اور میں تمہارے اونٹ پر تاکہ تم بھی نئے مناظر دیکھ سکو اور میں بھی۔ انہوں نے یہ تجویز قبول کر لی اور ( ہر ایک دوسرے کے اونٹ پر ) سوار ہو گئیں۔ اس کے بعد نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عائشہ کے اونٹ کے پاس تشریف لائے۔ اس وقت اس پر حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیٹھی ہوئی تھیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں سلام کیا، پھر چلتے رہے، جب پڑاؤ ہوا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو معلوم ہوا کہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا اس میں نہیں ہیں ( اس غلطی پر عائشہ کو اس درجہ رنج ہوا کہ ) جب لوگ سواریوں سے اتر گئے تو ام المؤمنین نے اپنے پاؤں اذخر گھاس میں ڈال لیے اور دعا کرنے لگی کہ اے میرے رب! مجھ پر کوئی بچھو یا سانپ مسلط کر دے جو مجھ کو ڈس لے۔ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے تو کچھ کہہ نہیں سکتی تھی کیونکہ یہ حرکت خود میری ہی تھی۔

Narrated `Aisha: Sauda bint Zam`a gave up her turn to me (`Aisha), and so the Prophet used to give me (`Aisha) both my day and the day of Sauda.

Narrated Anas: The tradition, (of the Prophet) is that if someone marries a virgin and he has already a matron wife (with him), then he should stay with the virgin for seven days; and if someone marries a matron (and he has already a virgin wife with him) then he should stay with her for three days.

Narrated Anas: It is the Prophet's tradition that if someone marries a virgin and he has already a matron wife then he should stay for seven days with her (the virgin) and then by turns; and if someone marries a matron and he has already a virgin wife then he should stay with her (the matron) for three days, and then by turns.

Narrated `Aisha: Whenever Allah's Apostle finished his `Asr prayer, he would enter upon his wives and stay with one of them. One day he went to Hafsa and stayed with her longer than usual.

Narrated `Aisha: that during his fatal ailment, Allah's Apostle, used to ask his wives, Where shall I stay tomorrow? Where shall I stay tomorrow? He was looking forward to Aisha's turn. So all his wives allowed him to stay where he wished, and he stayed at `Aisha's house till he died there. `Aisha added: He died on the day of my usual turn at my house. Allah took him unto Him while his head was between my chest and my neck and his saliva was mixed with my saliva.
