Narrated Sa`d: Allah's Apostle mentioned both his father and mother for me on the day of the battle of Uhud.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ , حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعْدًا , يَقُولُ : جَمَعَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبَوَيْهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ .

ہم سے مسدد بن مسرہد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یحییٰ نے بیان کیا، ان سے یحییٰ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے سعید بن مسیب سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، وہ بیان کرتے تھے کہ غزوہ احد کے موقع پر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( میری ہمت افزائی کے لیے ) اپنے والد اور والدہ دونوں کو جمع فرمایا کہ میرے ماں باپ تم پر فدا ہوں۔

Narrated Ibn Al Musaiyab: Sa`d bin Abi Waqqas said, Allah's Apostle mentioned both his father and mother for me on the day of the battle of Uhud. He meant when the Prophet said (to Sa`d) while the latter was fighting. Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you!
