Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, My similitude in comparison with the other prophets before me, is that of a man who has built a house nicely and beautifully, except for a place of one brick in a corner. The people go about it and wonder at its beauty, but say: 'Would that this brick be put in its place!' So I am that brick, and I am the last of the Prophets.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ مَثَلِي وَمَثَلَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ مِنْ قَبْلِي كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ بَنَى بَيْتًا فَأَحْسَنَهُ وَأَجْمَلَهُ إِلَّا مَوْضِعَ لَبِنَةٍ مِنْ زَاوِيَةٍ ، فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَطُوفُونَ بِهِ وَيَعْجَبُونَ لَهُ وَيَقُولُونَ هَلَّا وُضِعَتْ هَذِهِ اللَّبِنَةُ ، قَالَ : فَأَنَا اللَّبِنَةُ وَأَنَا خَاتِمُ النَّبِيِّينَ .

ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے اسماعیل بن جعفر نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبداللہ بن دینار نے، ان سے ابوصالح نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”میری اور مجھ سے پہلے کے تمام انبیاء کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے ایک شخص نے ایک گھر بنایا اور اس میں ہر طرح کی زینت پیدا کی لیکن ایک کونے میں ایک اینٹ کی جگہ چھوٹ گئی۔ اب تمام لوگ آتے ہیں اور مکان کو چاروں طرف سے گھوم کر دیکھتے ہیں اور تعجب میں پڑ جاتے ہیں لیکن یہ بھی کہتے جاتے ہیں کہ یہاں پر ایک اینٹ کیوں نہ رکھی گئی؟ تو میں ہی وہ اینٹ ہوں اور میں خاتم النبیین ہوں۔“

Narrated `Aisha: The Prophet died when he was sixty three years old.

Narrated Anas: While the Prophet was in the market, a man called (somebody), O Abu-l-Qasim!' The Prophet turned to him and said Name yourselves after me but do not call yourselves by my Kuniya.

Narrated Al-Ju'aid bin `Abdur Rahman: I saw As-Sa'ib bin Yazid when he was ninety-four years old, quite strong and of straight figure. He said, I know that I enjoyed my hearing and seeing powers only because of the invocation of Allah's Apostle . My aunt took me to him and said, 'O Allah's Apostle! My nephew is sick; will you invoke Allah for him?' So he invoked (Allah) for me.

Narrated As- Scab bin Yazid: My aunt took me to Allah's Apostle and said, O Allah's Apostle! My nephew is sick ' The Prophet passed his hands over my head and blessed me. Then he performed ablution and I drank the remaining water, and standing behind him. A saw the seal in between his shoulders.
