Ibn Abbas narrated: We were with the Prophet on a journey (on the Day of) Adha, so seven of us shared in a cow, and ten for a camel.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ عِلْبَاءَ بْنِ أَحْمَرَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَحَضَرَ الْأَضْحَى فَاشْتَرَكْنَا فِي الْبَقَرَةِ سَبْعَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْجَزُورِ عَشَرَةً . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ حَدِيثُ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایک سفر میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے کہ عید الاضحی کا دن آ گیا، چنانچہ گائے میں ہم سات سات لوگ اور اونٹ میں دس دس لوگ شریک ہوئے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، اور یہ حسین بن واقد کی حدیث ( روایت ) ہے۔

Ibn Abbas narrated: The Prophet garlanded two sandals and marked the Hadi on the right side at Dhul-Hulaifah, and removed the blood from it.

Najiyah Al-Khuza'i (the Companion of the Messenger of Allah) said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What should be done with the afflicted among the Hadi?' He said: 'Slaughter them, then dip their sandals in their blood, then leave them so that the people can eat them.'

Anas bin Malik narrated: That the Prophet saw a man driving his Badanah so he said to him: Ride it. He said: O Messenger of Allah! It is a Badanah. So on the third or fourth time he said to him: Ride it. And woe to you!
