Jabir bin Abdullah narrated: The Prophet performed Hajj three times. He performed Hajj twice before his emigration, and he performed one Hajj after he emigrated, and these were accompanied by Umrah. So he drove sixty-three sacrificial animals (Budn) and Ali came from Yemen with the rest of them, among them was a camel of Abu Jahl that has a ring made of silver in its nose. So he (the Messenger of Allah) slaughtered the, and the Messenger of Allah ordered that a piece of each of them be cooked, and he drank from its broth.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَاب، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَجَّ ثَلَاثَ حِجَجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَجَّتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُهَاجِرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَجَّةً بَعْدَ مَا هَاجَرَ وَمَعَهَا عُمْرَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَسَاقَ ثَلَاثَةً وَسِتِّينَ بَدَنَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَاءَ عَلِيٌّ مِنْ الْيَمَنِ بِبَقِيَّتِهَا فِيهَا جَمَلٌ لِأَبِي جَهْلٍ فِي أَنْفِهِ بُرَةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ فَنَحَرَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ كُلِّ بَدَنَةٍ بِبَضْعَةٍ فَطُبِخَتْ وَشَرِبَ مِنْ مَرَقِهَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حُبَاب، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي كُتُبِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَسَأَلْتُ مُحَمَّدًا عَنْ هَذَا فَلَمْ يَعْرِفْهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَأَيْتُهُ لَمْ يَعُدَّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ مَحْفُوظًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا يُرْوَى عَنْ الثَّوْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ مُرْسَلًا.

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے تین حج کئے، دو حج ہجرت سے پہلے اور ایک حج ہجرت کے بعد، اس کے ساتھ آپ نے عمرہ بھی کیا اور ترسٹھ اونٹ ہدی کے طور پر ساتھ لے گئے اور باقی اونٹ یمن سے علی لے کر آئے۔ ان میں ابوجہل کا ایک اونٹ تھا۔ اس کی ناک میں چاندی کا ایک حلقہ تھا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں نحر کیا، پھر آپ نے ہر اونٹ میں سے ایک ایک ٹکڑا لے کر اسے پکانے کا حکم دیا، تو پکایا گیا اور آپ نے اس کا شوربہ پیا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث سفیان کی روایت سے غریب ہے، ہم اسے صرف زید بن حباب کے طریق سے جانتے ہیں ۱؎، ۲- میں نے عبداللہ بن عبدالرحمٰن دارمی کو دیکھا کہ انہوں نے اپنی کتابوں میں یہ حدیث عبداللہ بن ابی زیاد کے واسطہ سے روایت کی ہے، ۳- میں نے محمد بن اسماعیل بخاری سے اس حدیث کے سلسلے میں پوچھا تو وہ اسے بروایت «الثوري عن جعفر عن أبيه عن جابر عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» نہیں جان سکے، میں نے انہیں دیکھا کہ انہوں نے اس حدیث کو محفوظ شمار نہیں کیا، اور کہا: یہ ثوری سے روایت کی جاتی ہے اور ثوری نے ابواسحاق سے اور ابواسحاق نے مجاہد سے مرسلاً روایت کی ہے۔
