Narrated Zaid bin Thabit: We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) collecting the Qur'an on pieces of cloth, so the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Tuba is for Ash-Sham.' So we said: 'Why is that O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Because the angels of Ar-Rahman spread their wings over it.'
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَيُّوبَ يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شِمَاسَةَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نُؤَلِّفُ الْقُرْآنَ مِنَ الرِّقَاعِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ طُوبَى لِلشَّأْمِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقُلْنَا:‏‏‏‏ لِأَيٍّ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لِأَنَّ مَلَائِكَةَ الرَّحْمَنِ بَاسِطَةٌ أَجْنِحَتَهَا عَلَيْهَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ.
زید بن ثابت رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ہم لوگ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس کاغذ کے پرزوں سے قرآن کو مرتب کر رہے تھے، تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”مبارکبادی ہو شام کے لیے“، ہم نے عرض کیا: کس چیز کی اے اللہ کے رسول! آپ نے فرمایا: ”اس بات کی کہ رحمن کے فرشتے ان کے لیے اپنے بازو بچھاتے ہیں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ہم اسے صرف یحییٰ بن ایوب کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں۔

Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: People should stop boasting about their fathers who have died, while they are but coals of Hell, or they will be more humiliated with Allah than the dung beetle who rolls dung with his nose. Indeed Allah removed Jahiliyyah from you, and its boasting about lineage. [Indeed a person is either] a pious believer, or a miserable sinner. And people are all the children of Adam, and Adam was [created] from dust.

Narrated Abu Hurairah [may Allah be pleased with him]: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Allah has removed the pride of Jahiliyyah from you and boasting about lineage. (A person is either) a pious believer or a miserable sinner, and the people are the children of Adam, and Adam is from dirt.
