Narrated Abu Hurairah:
that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: People should stop boasting about their fathers who have died, while they are but coals of Hell, or they will be more humiliated with Allah than the dung beetle who rolls dung with his nose. Indeed Allah removed Jahiliyyah from you, and its boasting about lineage. [Indeed a person is either] a pious believer, or a miserable sinner. And people are all the children of Adam, and Adam was [created] from dust.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ يَفْتَخِرُونَ بِآبَائِهِمُ الَّذِينَ مَاتُوا، إِنَّمَا هُمْ فَحْمُ جَهَنَّمَ، أَوْ لَيَكُونُنَّ أَهْوَنَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ الْجُعَلِ الَّذِي يُدَهْدِهُ الْخِرَاءَ بِأَنْفِهِ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَذْهَبَ عَنْكُمْ عُبِّيَّةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَفَخْرَهَا بِالْآبَاءِ، إِنَّمَا هُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ تَقِيٌّ، وَفَاجِرٌ شَقِيٌّ، النَّاسُ كُلُّهُمْ بَنُو آدَمَ، وَآدَمُ خُلِقَ مِنْ تُرَابٍ . قَالَ: وَفِي الْبَاب عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”باز آ جائیں وہ قومیں جو اپنے ان آباء و اجداد پر فخر کر رہی ہیں جو مر گئے ہیں، وہ جہنم کا کوئلہ ہیں ورنہ وہ اللہ کے نزدیک اس گبریلے سے بھی زیادہ ذلیل ہو جائیں گے، جو اپنے آگے اپنی ناک سے نجاست دھکیلتا رہتا ہے، اللہ نے تم سے جاہلیت کی نخوت کو ختم کر دیا ہے، اب تو لوگ مومن و متقی ہیں یا فاجر و بدبخت، لوگ سب کے سب آدم کی اولاد ہیں اور آدم مٹی سے پیدا کیے گئے ہیں“ ۱؎۔
امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابن عمر اور ابن عباس رضی الله عنہم سے احادیث آئی ہیں۔
