Narrated Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab: that Abu Hurairah used to say: If I saw hyenas roaming in Al-Madinah, I would not advance upon them. Indeed the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whatever is between its two lava tracts is sacred.'

حَدَّثَنَا الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ. ح وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَوْ رَأَيْتُ الظِّبَاءَ تَرْتَعُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ مَا ذَعَرْتُهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا حَرَامٌ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَزَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَابِرٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے تھے کہ اگر میں مدینہ میں ہرنوں کو چرتے دیکھوں تو انہیں نہ ڈراؤں اس لیے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: ”اس کی دونوں پتھریلی زمینوں ۱؎ کے درمیان کا حصہ حرم ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کی یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں سعد، عبداللہ بن زید، انس، ابوایوب، زید بن ثابت، رافع بن خدیج، سہل بن حنیف اور جابر رضی الله عنہ سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔

Narrated Anas bin Malik: that (mount) Uhud appeared to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) so he said: This mountain loves us and we love it. O Allah! Indeed Ibrahim made Makkah sacred, and I make sacred whatever is between its (i.e. Al-Madinah) two lava tracts.

Narrated Jarir bin 'Abdullah: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Indeed Allah has revealed to me that: Whichever of these three places you go to will be the place of your emigration: Al-Madinah, Bahrain, or Qinnasrin.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: No one is patient with the difficulties and hardships of Al-Madinah, except that I am an intercessor, or a witness for him on the Day of Judgement.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Adi bin Hamra [Az-Zuhri]: I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) standing at Al-Hazwarah, and he said: By Allah! You are the best of Allah's earth, and the most beloved of Allah's earth to Allah, and if it were not that I was expelled from you I would not have left.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said about Makkah: How sweet of a land you are and how dear you are to me, and if it were not that my people expelled me from you, I would not have lived in other than you.

Narrated Salman: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: 'O Salman! Do not detest me and thereby leave your religion.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! How could I detest you while Allah guided us by you.' He said: 'You will detest the Arabs and thereby detest me.'
