Translation

`Abdullah bin Busr narrated: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stayed with my father.” So he said: “We brought some food near him, so he ate from it, then he was brought dates, so he would eat it and cast the pit with his two fingers” - he joined between his forefinger and middle finger - Shu`bah said: “And that is what I think concerning it, if Allah wills.” - “and he cast the pit between two fingers, then he was brought drink, so he drank it and then passed it to the one on his right.” He said: “So my father said - as he took hold of the rein of his beast: ‘Supplicate for us.’ So he said: ‘O Allah, bless for them what You have provided them, and forgive them, and have mercy on them (Allāhumma bārik lahum fī mā razaqtahum waghfir lahum warḥamhum).’”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُمَيْرٍ الشَّامِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَرَّبْنَا إِلَيْهِ طَعَامًا فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِتَمْرٍ فَكَانَ يَأْكُلُ وَيُلْقِي النَّوَى بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ جَمَعَ السَّبَّابَةَ وَالْوُسْطَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ شُعْبَةُ:‏‏‏‏ وَهُوَ ظَنِّي فِيهِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَلْقَى النَّوَى بَيْنَ أُصْبُعَيْنِ ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِشَرَابٍ فَشَرِبَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ نَاوَلَهُ الَّذِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ أَبِي وَأَخَذَ بِلِجَامِ دَابَّتِهِ:‏‏‏‏ ادْعُ لَنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيمَا رَزَقْتَهُمْ،‏‏‏‏ وَاغْفِرْ لَهُمْ،‏‏‏‏ وَارْحَمْهُمْ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ.

عبداللہ بن بسر رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے باپ کے پاس آئے، ہم نے آپ کے کھانے کے لیے کچھ پیش کیا تو آپ نے اس میں سے کھایا، پھر آپ کے لیے کچھ کھجوریں لائی گئیں، تو آپ کھجوریں کھانے اور گھٹلی اپنی دونوں انگلیوں سبابہ اور وسطی ( شہادت اور بیچ کی انگلی سے ( دونوں کو ملا کر ) پھینکتے جاتے تھے، شعبہ کہتے ہیں: جو میں کہہ رہا ہوں وہ میرا گمان و خیال ہے، اللہ نے چاہا تو صحیح ہو گا، آپ دونوں انگلیوں کے بیچ میں گٹھلی رکھ کر پھینک دیتے تھے، پھر آپ کے سامنے پینے کی کوئی چیز لائی گئی تو آپ نے پی اور اپنے دائیں جانب ہاتھ والے کو تھما دیا ( جب آپ چلنے لگے تو ) آپ کی سواری کی لگام تھامے تھامے میرے باپ نے آپ سے عرض کیا، آپ ہمارے لیے دعا فرما دیجئیے، آپ نے فرمایا: «اللهم بارك لهم فيما رزقتهم واغفر لهم وارحمهم» ”اے اللہ! ان کے رزق میں برکت عطا فرما اور انہیں بخش دے اور ان پر رحمت نازل فرما“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس سند کے علاوہ دوسری سند سے بھی یہ حدیث عبداللہ بن بسر سے آئی ہے۔

Bilal bin Yasar bin Zaid [the freed slave of the Prophet(ﷺ)] narrated: “My father narrated to me, from my grandfather, that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: ‘Whoever says: “I seek forgiveness from Allah, the Magnificent, whom there is none worthy of worship but Him, the Living, Al-Qayyum, and I repent to him,” (Astaghfirullāhal-`Aẓīm alladhī lā ilāha illā huwal-Ḥayyul-Qayyūmu wa atūbu ilaih) then Allah will forgive him, even if he fled from battle.’”

`Uthman bin Hunaif narrated that a blind man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: “Supplicate to Allah to heal me.” He (ﷺ) said: “If you wish I will supplicate for you, and if you wish, you can be patient, for that is better for you.” He said: “Then supplicate to Him.” He said: “So he ordered him to perform Wudu’ and to make his Wudu’ complete, and to supplicate with this supplication: ‘O Allah, I ask You and turn towards You by Your Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), the Prophet of Mercy. Indeed, I have turned to my Lord, by means of You, concerning this need of mine, so that it can be resolved, so O Allah so accept his intercession for me (Allāhumma innī as’aluka wa atawajjahu ilaika binabiyyka Muḥammadin nabi-ir-raḥmati, innī tawajjahtu bika ila rabbī fī ḥājatī hādhihī lituqḍā lī, Allāhumma fashaffi`hu fīyya).’”

Abu Umamah [may Allah be pleased with him] said: `Amr bin `Abasah reported to me that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: “The closest that the Lord is to a worshipper is during the last part of the night, so if you are able to be of those who remember Allah in that hour, then do so.”

`Umarah bin Za`karah said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying; ‘Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, says: “Indeed My worshipper who is entirely My slave is the one who remembers Me when he is about to meet his enemy.” That is: “At the time of fighting.”

Qais bin Sa`d bin `Ubadah narrated, : that his father offered him to the Prophet (ﷺ) to serve him. He said: “So the Prophet (ﷺ) passed by me, and I had just performed Salat, so he poked me with his foot and said: ‘Should I not direct you to a gate from the gates of Paradise?’ I said: ‘Of course.’ He (ﷺ) said: ‘There is no might or power except with Allah (Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh).’”
