Translation

Ibn `Umar narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Indeed Allah accepts the repentance of a slave as long as (his soul does not reach his throat).”

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ ثَابِتِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقْبَلُ تَوْبَةَ الْعَبْدِ مَا لَمْ يُغَرْغِرْ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ اپنے بندے کی توبہ اس وقت تک قبول کرتا ہے جب تک کہ ( موت کے وقت ) اس کے گلے سے خر خر کی آواز نہ آنے لگے“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے۔

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Allah is more delighted with the repentance of one of you, than one of you is, when finding his lost animal.”

Abu Sirmah narrated from Abu Ayyub, that: when death reached him, he said: “I have concealed something I heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) from you. I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: ‘If you did not sin, Allah would create a creation that would sin, so He will forgive them.’”

Anas bin Malik narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Allah, Blessed is He and Most High, said: ‘O son of Adam! Verily as long as you called upon Me and hoped in Me, I forgave you, despite whatever may have occurred from you, and I did not mind. O son of Adam! Were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky, then you sought forgiveness from Me, I would forgive you, and I would not mind. So son of Adam! If you came to me with sins nearly as great as the earth, and then you met Me not associating anything with Me, I would come to you with forgiveness nearly as great as it.’”

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Allah created a hundred mercies, and He placed one mercy among his creation, they show mercy to one another by it, and there are ninety-nine mercies with Allah.”

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “If the believer knew what is with Allah of punishment, none would hope for Paradise, and if the disbeliever knew what is with Allah of mercy, none would despair of (attaining) Paradise.”
