Abu Hurairah narrated that: Fatimah came to the Prophet (ﷺ), asking him for a servant. So he (ﷺ) said to her: “Say: ‘O Allah, Lord of the Seven Heavens and the Lord of the Magnificent Throne, our Lord, and the Lord of everything, Revealer of the Tawrah, the Injil, and the Quran, Splitter of the seed-grain and the date-stone, I seek refuge in You from the evil of everything that You are holding by the forelock, You are the First, for there is nothing above You, and You are the Last, for there is nothing after you. And you are az-Zahir, for there is nothing above you. And you are Al-Batin, for there is nothing below You. Relieve me from debt, and enrich me from poverty (Allāhumma rabbas samāwātis-sab`i wa rabbal-`arshil-`aẓīm, rabbana, wa rabba kulli shai’in, munzilat-Tawrāti wal-Injīli wal-Qur’ān, fāliqal-habbi wan-nawā, a`ūdhu bika min sharri kulli shai’in anta ākhidhun bināṣiyatihi, antal-awwalu falaisa qablaka shai’un, wa antal-ākhiru falaisa ba`daka shai’un, wa antaẓ-ẓāhiru falaisa fawqaka shai’un, wa antal-bāṭinu falaisa dūnaka shai’un, iqḍi `anni-daina wa aghnini minal-faqr).”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْأَلُهُ خَادِمًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهَا:‏‏‏‏ قُولِي:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مُنْزِلَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ وَالْقُرْآنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَالِقَ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْتَ الْأَوَّلُ فَلَيْسَ قَبْلَكَ شَيْءٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنْتَ الْآخِرُ فَلَيْسَ بَعْدَكَ شَيْءٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنْتَ الظَّاهِرُ فَلَيْسَ فَوْقَكَ شَيْءٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنْتَ الْبَاطِنُ فَلَيْسَ دُونَكَ شَيْءٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏اقْضِ عَنِّي الدَّيْنَ وَأَغْنِنِي مِنَ الْفَقْرِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهَكَذَا رَوَى بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏نَحْوَ هَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَاهُ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ مُرْسَلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ فاطمہ ( بنت رسول ) رضی الله عنہا آپ کے پاس ایک خادم مانگنے آئیں، آپ نے ان سے کہا: تم یہ دعا پڑھتی رہو: «اللهم رب السموات السبع ورب العرش العظيم ربنا ورب كل شيء منزل التوراة والإنجيل والقرآن فالق الحب والنوى أعوذ بك من شر كل شيء أنت آخذ بناصيته أنت الأول فليس قبلك شيء وأنت الآخر فليس بعدك شيء وأنت الظاهر فليس فوقك شيء وأنت الباطن فليس دونك شيء اقض عني الدين وأغنني من الفقر» ”اے اللہ! تو ساتوں آسمانوں کا رب، عرش عظیم کا رب، اے ہمارے رب! اور ہر چیز کے رب، توراۃ، انجیل اور قرآن کے نازل کرنے والے، زمین پھاڑ کر دانے اگانے اور اکھوے نکالنے والے، میں تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ہر چیز کے شر سے، جس کی پیشانی تیرے ہاتھ میں ہے، تو پہلا ہے ( شروع سے ہے ) تجھ سے پہلے کوئی چیز نہیں ہے، تو سب سے آخر ہے تیرے بعد کوئی چیز نہیں، تو سب سے ظاہر ( یعنی اوپر ہے ) ، تیرے اوپر کوئی چیز نہیں ہے، تو پوشیدہ ہے سب کی نظروں سے، لیکن تم سے کوئی چیز پوشیدہ نہیں ہے، اے اللہ! تو میرے اوپر سے قرض اتار دے، اور مجھے محتاجی سے نکال کر مالدار کر دے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، اور اعمش کے بعض شاگردوں نے اعمش سے ایسے ہی روایت کی ہے، ۲- ایسے ہی بعض راویوں نے اعمش سے، اعمش نے ابوصالح سے مرسل طریقہ سے روایت کی ہے، اور انہوں نے اپنی روایت میں ابوہریرہ کا ذکر نہیں کیا ہے۔

`Abdullah bin `Amr narrated that: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say: “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a heart that does not humble itself, and from a supplication that is not heard, and from a soul that is never satisfied, and from knowledge that does not benefit, I seek refuge in You from these four (Allāhumma innī a`ūdhu bika min qalbin lā yakhsha`u, wa min du`ā’in lā yusma`u, wa min nafsin lā tashba`u, wa min `ilmin lā yanfa`u, a`ūdhu bika min hā’ula’il-arba`).”

Imran bin Husain narrated: “The Prophet (ﷺ) said to my father: ‘O Husain, how many deities do you worship now?‘ He said: ‘Seven. Six in the earth, and one above the heavens.’ He said: ‘So which of them do you take for your ardent requests and fears?’ He said: ‘The one above the heavens.’ He said: ‘O Husain, if you would but accept Islam, I would teach you two phrases that would benefit you.’” He said: “So when Husain accepted Islam, he said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, teach me the two phrases you promised me.’ So he (ﷺ) said: “Say: O Allah, inspire me with my guidance, and protect me from the evil of my soul (Allāhumma alhimnī rushdī, wa a`idhnī min sharri nafsī).’”

Anas bin Mallik [may Allah be pleased with him] narrates, saying: “I used to often hear the Prophet (ﷺ) supplicating with these words: ‘O Allah, I seek refuge in You from sadness, grief, helplessness, laziness, being stingy, overwhelming debt, and the overpowering of men (Allāhumma innī a`ūdhu bika minal-hammi wal-ḥazani wal-`ajzi wal-kasali wal-bukhli wa ḍala`id-dain wa ghalabatir-rijāl).’”

Anas narrated that : The Prophet (ﷺ) used to supplicate, saying: “O Allah, indeed, I seek refuge in You from laziness, weakness of old age, cowardice, stinginess, the trial of Al-Masih, and the punishment of the grave (Allāhumma innī a`ūdhu bika minal-kasali wal-harami wal-jubni wal-bukhli wa fitnatil-masīḥi wa `adhabil-qabr).”

Abdullah bin Amr narrated: “I saw the Prophet counting the Tasbih on his hand.”

Anas bin Malik narrated that: The Prophet (ﷺ) visited a man who was so emaciated that he had become like a baby bird. He (ﷺ) said to him: “And did you not used to supplicate? Did you not used to ask Your Lord for sound health?” He said: “I used to say: “O Allah, whatever You are going to punish me with in the Hereafter, then hasten it for me in this world.” So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Glory is to Allah, you are not capable of that” – or – “you are not able to stand that. Would you not say: ‘O Allah, give us good in this world, and good in the Hereafter, and spare us the punishment of the Fire (Allāhumma ātinā fid-dunyā ḥasanatan wa fil ākhirati ḥasanatan wa qinā `adhāban-nār).’”
