Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Allah, Blessed and Most High, has said - and His saying is the Truth: 'When My slave considers doing something good then write it as one good for him. If he acts upon it then write ten of the same for him. And when he considers doing something evil, then do not write it. If he acts upon it, then write it. If he leaves it - and perhaps he said: if he does not act upon it, then write a good reward for him.' Then he [the Prophet (ﷺ)] recited: Whoever comes with a good, then he shall have ten the like thereof (6:160).

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَقَوْلُهُ الْحَقُّ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا هَمَّ عَبْدِي بِحَسَنَةٍ فَاكْتُبُوهَا لَهُ حَسَنَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا فَاكْتُبُوهَا لَهُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِذَا هَمَّ بِسَيِّئَةٍ فَلَا تَكْتُبُوهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا فَاكْتُبُوهَا بِمِثْلِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ تَرَكَهَا وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ لَمْ يَعْمَلْ بِهَا فَاكْتُبُوهَا لَهُ حَسَنَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَرَأَ مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَا سورة الأنعام آية 160 ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے اور اس کا فرمان برحق ( و درست ) ہے: جب میرا بندہ کسی نیکی کا قصد و ارادہ کرے، تو ( میرے فرشتو! ) اس کے لیے نیکی لکھ لو، اور اگر وہ اس بھلے کام کو کر گزرے تو اس کے لیے دس نیکیاں لکھ لو، اور جب وہ کسی برے کام کا ارادہ کرے تو کچھ نہ لکھو، اور اگر وہ برے کام کو کر ڈالے تو صرف ایک گناہ لکھو، پھر اگر وہ اسے چھوڑ دے ( کبھی راوی نے یہ کہا ) اور کبھی یہ کہا ( دوبارہ ) اس گناہ کا ارتکاب نہ کرے ) تو اس کے لیے اس پر بھی ایک نیکی لکھ لو، پھر آپ نے آیت «من جاء بالحسنة فله عشر أمثالها» پڑھی ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔ فائدہ ۱؎: ”جس نے نیک کام کیا ہو گا اس کو دس گنا ثواب ملے گا، اور جس نے برائی کی ہو گی اس کو اسی قدر سزا ملے گی اور ان پر ظلم نہ کیا جائے گا“ ( الانعام: ۱۶۰ ) ۔

Narrated Sulaiman bin Harb: Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, that the Prophet (ﷺ) recited this Ayah: So when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He made it collapse to dust (7:143) - Hammad said: Like this. Sulaiman held his thumb over the tip of his finger on the right hand (so that only the tip of one finger was protruding) - and he [the Prophet (ﷺ)] said: So the mountain fainted. 'And Musa fell down unconscious.'

Narrated Muslim bin Yasar Al-Juhani: that 'Umar bin Al-Khattab was asked about this Ayah: And when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed and made them testify as to themselves: Am I not your Lord? They said: Yes! We testify, lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: 'Verily, we have been unaware of this (7:172).' So 'Umar bin Al-Khattab said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) being asked about it. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Indeed Allah created Adam, then He wiped his back with His Right Hand, and his offspring came out of him. So he said: I created these for Paradise, and they will do the deeds of the people of Paradise. Then He wiped his back, and his offspring came out of him. So He said: I created these for the Fire, and they will do the deeds of the people of the Fire. A man said: 'Then of what good is doing deeds O Messenger of Allah!' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Verily, when Allah created a man for Paradise, He makes him perform the deeds of the people of Paradise, until he dies doing one of the deeds of the people of Paradise. So Allah will admit him into Paradise. And when He created a man for the Fire, He makes him perform the deeds of the people of the Fire until he dies doing the deeds of the people of the Fire. So Allah will enter him into the Fire.'

Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When Allah created Adam He wiped his back and every person that He created among his offspring until the Day of Resurrection fell out of his back. He placed a ray of light between the eyes of every person. Then He showed them to Adam and he said: 'O Lord! Who are these people?' He said: 'These are your offspring.' He saw one of them whose ray between his eyes amazed him, so he said: 'O Lord! Who is this?' He said: 'This is a man from the latter nations of your offspring called Dawud.' He said: 'Lord! How long did You make his lifespan?' He said: 'Sixty years.' He said: 'O Lord! Add forty years from my life to his.' So at the end of Adam's life, the Angel of death of came to him, and he said: 'Do I not have forty years remaining?' He said: 'Did you not give them to your son Dawud?' He said: Adam denied, so his offspring denied, and Adam forgot and his offspring forgot, and Adam sinned, so his offspring sinned.

Narrated Samurah bin Jundab: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: When Hawwa became pregnant, Iblis came to her - and her children would not live (after birth) - so he said: 'Name him 'Abdul-Harith.' So she named him 'Abdul-Harith and he lived. So that is among the inspirations of Ash-Shaitan and his commands.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When Allah created Adam (and he mentioned) the Hadith (#3076).

Narrated Mus'ab bin Sa'd: from his father who said: On the Day of Badr I brought a sword so I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Indeed Allah has satisfied my breast (i.e. my desire) on the idolaters - or something like that - give me this sword.' So he said: 'This is not for me, nor is it for you.' I said: 'Perhaps he will give this to someone who did not go through some struggle I went through (fighting).' So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to me [and he said:] 'You asked me, but it was not up to me. But now it has occurred that it is up to me, so it is yours.' He said: So (the following) was revealed: They ask you about the spoils of war (8:1).
