Translation

Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Five are from the Fitrah: Cutting the pubic hair, circumcision, paring the mustache, plucking the under arm hair and trimming the fingernails.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحَلْوَانِيُّ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ خَمْسٌ مِنَ الْفِطْرَةِ:‏‏‏‏ الِاسْتِحْدَادُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْخِتَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَصُّ الشَّارِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَنَتْفُ الْإِبْطِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَقْلِيمُ الْأَظْفَارِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”پانچ چیزیں فطرت سے ہیں ۱؎، ( ۱ ) شرمگاہ کے بال مونڈنا، ( ۲ ) ختنہ کرنا، ( ۳ ) مونچھیں کترنا، ( ۴ ) بغل کے بال اکھیڑنا، ( ۵ ) ناخن تراشنا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Narrated Anas: from the Prophet (ﷺ), that he (ﷺ) fixed the time as every forty nights for them to trimming the fingernails, taking from the mustache, and shaving the pubic hairs.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: [The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)] fixed the time for us paring the mustache, trimming the fingernails, shaving the pubic hairs and plucking the underarm hairs - that we not leave it for more than forty days.
