Anas bin Malik narrated that the Allah's Messenger (s.a.w) said: The hour shall not be established until time is constricted, and the year is like a month, a month is like the week, and the week is like the day, and the day is like the hour, and the hour is like the flare of the fire.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْعُمَرِيُّ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَتَقَارَبَ الزَّمَانُ فَتَكُونُ السَّنَةُ كَالشَّهْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالشَّهْرُ كَالْجُمُعَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَكُونُ الْجُمُعَةُ كَالْيَوْمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَكُونُ الْيَوْمُ كَالسَّاعَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَكُونُ السَّاعَةُ كَالضَّرَمَةِ بِالنَّارِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسَعْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ هُوَ أَخُو يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ.
انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”قیامت نہیں قائم ہو گی یہاں تک کہ زمانہ قریب ہو جائے گا ۱؎ سال ایک مہینہ کے برابر ہو جائے گا جب کہ ایک مہینہ ایک ہفتہ کے برابر اور ایک ہفتہ ایک دن کے برابر اور ایک دن ایک ساعت ( گھڑی ) کے برابر ہو جائے گا اور ایک ساعت ( گھڑی ) آگ سے پیدا ہونے والی چنگاری کے برابر ہو جائے گی“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: اس سند سے یہ حدیث غریب ہے۔

Mujahid narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) grabbed me on part of my body and said: 'Be in the world like a stranger or a passerby, and count yourself among the inhabitants of the grave.' Ibn 'Umar said to me: When you wake up in the morning, then do not concern yourself with the evening. And when you reach the evening, then do not concern yourself with the morning. Take from your health before your illness, and from your life before your death, for indeed O slave of Allah! You do not know what your description shall be tomorrow. (sahih)
