Anas bin Malik narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: If the Son of Adam had a valley of gold, then he would still like to have a second . And nothing fills his mouth but dust, Allah turns to whoever repents.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ لَأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ ثَانِيًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا يَمْلَأُ فَاهُ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي وَاقِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.
انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر آدمی کے پاس سونے کی دو وادیاں ہوں تو اسے ایک تیسری وادی کی خواہش ہو گی اور اس کا پیٹ کسی چیز سے نہیں بھرے گا سوائے مٹی سے۔ اور اللہ تعالیٰ ہر اس شخص کی توبہ قبول کرتا ہے جو اس سے توبہ کرے“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- اس سند سے یہ حدیث حسن صحیح غریب ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابی بن کعب، ابو سعید خدری، عائشہ، ابن زبیر، ابوواقد، جابر، ابن عباس اور ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔

Abu Umamah narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) said: O son of Adam! If you give your surplus it is better for you, and if you keep it, it is worse for you, but there is no harm with what is sufficient. And begin(the giving) with your dependents, and the upper hand (giving) is better than the lower hand (receiving).
