Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: (The burden of) what is said by the two who vilify each other is upon the one who initiated it, as long as the one who was wronged does not transgress.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْمُسْتَبَّانِ مَا قَالَا فَعَلَى الْبَادِي مِنْهُمَا مَا لَمْ يَعْتَدِ الْمَظْلُومُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”گالی گلوچ کرنے والے دو آدمیوں میں سے گالی کا گناہ ان میں سے شروع کرنے والے پر ہو گا، جب تک مظلوم حد سے آگے نہ بڑھ جائے“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں سعد، ابن مسعود اور عبداللہ بن مغفل رضی الله عنہم سے بھی حدیثیں مروی ہیں۔

He said: For those who speak well, feed others, fast regularly, and perform salat [for Allah] during the night while the people sleep.
