Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: The believer does not insult the honor of others, nor curse, nor commit Fahishah, nor is he foul.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَزْدِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَيْسَ الْمُؤْمِنُ بِالطَّعَّانِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا اللَّعَّانِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا الْفَاحِشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا الْبَذِيءِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مومن طعنہ دینے والا، لعنت کرنے والا، بےحیاء اور بدزبان نہیں ہوتا ہے“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث عبداللہ سے دوسری سند سے بھی آئی ہے۔

Ibn 'Abbas narrated that a man cursed the wind in the presence of the Prophet, so he said: Do not curse the wind, for it is merely doing as ordered , and whoever curses something undeservingly, then the curse returns upon him.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: Learn enough about your lineage to facilitate keeping your ties of kinship. For indeed keeping the ties of kinship encourages affection among the relatives, increases the wealth, and increases the lifespan.
