Narrated Jabir: That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Allah forgave a man who was before you: He was tolerant when selling, tolerant when purchasing, and tolerant when repaying. He said: This Hadith is Gharib Sahih Hasan from this route.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسٌ الدُّورِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ للَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لِرَجُلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَانَ سَهْلًا إِذَا بَاعَ سَهْلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِذَا اشْتَرَى سَهْلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِذَا اقْتَضَى . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.
جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے ایک شخص کو جو تم سے پہلے تھا بخش دیا، جو نرمی کرنے والا تھا جب بیچتا اور جب خریدتا اور جب قرض کا مطالبہ کرتا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس طریق سے حسن، صحیح، غریب ہے۔

Narrated Abu Hurairah: That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When you see someone selling or buying in the Masjid then say: 'May Allah not profit your business.' And when you see someone announcing about something lost then say: 'May Allah not return it to you.' The Hadith of Abu Hurairah is Hasan Gharib. This is acted upon according to some of the people of knowledge. They dislike selling and buying in the Masjid. This is the view of Ahmad and Ishaq. Some of the people of knowledge permitted selling and buying in the Masjid.

Abdullah bin Mawhab narrated that 'Uthman said to Ibn 'Umar: Go and judge between the people. So he said: Perhaps you can excuse me (from that) O Commander of the Believers! He said: Why do you have an aversion for that when your father judged? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah saying: 'Whoever was a judge and judged with justice, it still would have been better for him to have turned away from it completely.' What do I want after that?' (Daif).
