Umar narrated that : he asked the Prophet: Can one of us sleep while he is Junub? So he replied: Yes, when he performs Wudu.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيَنَامُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمَّارٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَائِشَةَ،‏‏‏‏ وَجَابِرٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ عُمَرَ أَحْسَنُ شَيْءٍ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ وَأَصَحُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ قَوْلُ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالتَّابِعِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبِهِ يَقُولُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالشَّافِعِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَحْمَدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا أَرَادَ الْجُنُبُ أَنْ يَنَامَ تَوَضَّأَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ
عمر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم سے سوال کیا: کیا ہم میں سے کوئی جنابت کی حالت میں سو سکتا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں، جب وہ وضو کر لے“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- اس باب میں عمار، عائشہ، جابر، ابوسعید اور ام سلمہ رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۲- عمر رضی الله عنہ والی حدیث اس باب میں سب سے عمدہ اور صحیح ہے، ۳- یہی قول نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم کے اصحاب اور تابعین میں سے بہت سے لوگوں کا ہے اور یہی سفیان ثوری، ابن مبارک، شافعی، احمد اور اسحاق بن راہویہ بھی کہتے ہیں کہ جب جنبی سونے کا ارادہ کرے تو وہ سونے سے پہلے وضو کر لے ۲؎۔

Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Prophet met him while he was Junub. He said: [So I slipped away from him - meaning:] I withdrew - to perform Ghusl. Then he returned, so he said: 'Where have you been?' Or: 'Where did you go?' I replied: 'I was Junub.' So he said: 'Indeed the believer is not defiled.'''

Umm Salamah narrated: Umm Sulaim bint Milhan came to the Prophet and she said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Indeed Allah is not embarrassed of the truth. So is it required of a woman - meaning Ghusl - when she sees in her sleep similar to what a man sees?' He replied: 'Yes. When she finds water (wetness), then she is perform Ghusl.' Umm Salamah said: I said to her: 'O Umm SuIaim! You have disgraced the women!'

He said: 'No. That is only a bIood vessel, it is not menstruation. When your menstruation begins then leave the Salat. And when it ends, then wash the blood from you and perform Salat.

Adiyy bin Thabit narrated from his father, that : the Prophet said about the Mustahadah that she should: Leave the Salat for the days of her period which she menstruates in, then perform Ghusl, and perform Wudu for every Salat, and observe Saum and perform Salat.
