Ibn Abbas narrated: The Prophet returned his daughter Zainab to Abul-As bin Ar-Rabi after six years in the first marriage without renewing the marriage.

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَدَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابْنَتَهُ زَيْنَبَ عَلَى أَبِي الْعَاصِي بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بَعْدَ سِتِّ سِنِينَ بِالنِّكَاحِ الْأَوَّلِ وَلَمْ يُحْدِثْ نِكَاحًا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَيْسَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ بَأْسٌ وَلَكِنْ لَا نَعْرِفُ وَجْهَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَعَلَّهُ قَدْ جَاءَ هَذَا مِنْ قِبَلِ دَاوُدَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مِنْ قِبَلِ حِفْظِهِ.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی بیٹی زینب کو ابوالعاص بن ربیع رضی الله عنہ کے پاس چھ سال بعد ۱؎ پہلے نکاح ہی پر واپس بھیج دیا اور پھر سے نکاح نہیں کیا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: اس حدیث کی سند میں کوئی اشکال نہیں ہے، لیکن ہم اس حدیث میں نقد کی وجہ نہیں جانتے ہیں۔ شاید یہ چیز داود بن حصین کی جانب سے ان کے حفظ کی طرف سے آئی ہے۔

Ibn Abbas narrated: A man became a Muslim during the time of the Prophet, then his wife became a Muslim, so he said: 'O Messenger of Allah! She accepted Islam along with me, so return her to me.' So he returned her to him.

Alqamah narrated that : Ibn Mas'ud was asked about a man who married a woman and he did not stipulate the dowry for her, and he did not enter into her until he died. So Ibn Mas'ud said: She gets the same dowry as other women, no less and no more, she has to observe the Iddah, and she gets inheritance. So Ma'qil bin Sinan Al-Ashja'I stood and said: The Messenger of Allah judged the same as you have judged regarding Birwa bint Washiq, a woman of ours. So Ibn Mas'ud was happy about that.

Ali (bin Abi Talib) narrated that The Messenger of Allah said: “Indeed Allah has made unlawful through suckling whatever He made unlawful through lineage.”

Aishah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: “Indeed Allah has made unlawful through suckling whatever He made unlawful through birth.”

Aishah narrated: “My uncle through suckling came and asked permission (to enter) but I refused to admit him until I asked the Messenger of Allah. So the Messenger of Allah said: “Let him in since he is your uncle.’” She said: “It is only the woman who suckled me; I was not suckled by the man.’ So he said: ‘Indeed he is your uncle, so let him in.’”

Amr bin Ash-Shariq narrated that Ibn Abbas was asked about the case in which a man had two slave girls, one of them suckled a girl and the other suckled a boy, is it lawful for the boy to marry the girl? She said: “No, the semen is the same.”
