Jabir narrated: We said: 'O Messenger of Allah! We practice Azl, but the Jews claim that it is minor infanticide.' So he said: 'The Jews lie. When Allah wants to create it, nothing can prevent Him.'

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْنَا:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَعْزِلُ فَزَعَمَتْ الْيَهُودُ أَنَّهَا الْمَوْءُودَةُ الصُّغْرَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَذَبَتْ الْيَهُودُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَهُ فَلَمْ يَمْنَعْهُ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْبَرَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ.

جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم لوگ عزل ۱؎ کرتے تھے، تو یہودیوں نے کہا: قبر میں زندہ دفن کرنے کی یہ ایک چھوٹی صورت ہے۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”یہودیوں نے جھوٹ کہا۔ اللہ جب اسے پیدا کرنا چاہے گا تو اسے کوئی روک نہیں سکے گا“ ۲؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: اس باب میں عمر، براء اور ابوہریرہ، ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔

Abu Qilabah narrated from Anas bin Malik, : He (Abu Qilabah) said: If I wish, I could say: 'The Messenger of Allah said' but he said: The Sunnah when a man married a virgin after he already has a wife, is that he stays with her seven (nights). And when he married a matron when he already has a wife, he stays with her three (nights).

Aishah narrated that: The Prophet would divide (his time) equally between his wives and said: O Allah! This is my division in what I have control over, so do not punish me for what You have control over which I do not have control over.
