Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

It was narrated that Abu Musa said: “Ali led us in prayer on the day of (the battle of) the Camel, in a way that reminded us of the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). Either we had forgotten it or we had abandoned it. He said the Salam to his right and to his left.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْأَبِي مُوسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَلَّى بِنَا عَلِيٌّ يَوْمَ الْجَمَلِ صَلَاةً ذَكَّرَنَا صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِمَّا أَنْ نَكُونَ نَسِينَاهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِمَّا أَنْ نَكُونَ تَرَكْنَاهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى يَمِينِهِ وَعَلَى شِمَالِهِ .

ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے ہمیں جنگ جمل کے دن ایسی نماز پڑھائی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز کی یاد تازہ ہو گئی، جسے یا تو ہم بھول چکے تھے یا چھوڑ چکے تھے، تو انہوں نے دائیں اور بائیں جانب سلام پھیرا ۲؎۔

It was narrated that Samurah bin Jundab said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to greet our Imam with Salam, and to greet one another with Salam.”

It was narrated that Thawban said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘No person should lead others in prayer, then supplicate only for himself and not for them. If he does that, he has betrayed them.’”
