Translation

Arabic, English and Urdu

It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri that: The Messenger of Allah passed by (the house of) one of the Ansar and sent word for him to come out. He came out with his head dripping and (the Prophet) said: Perhaps we made you hurry? He said: O Messenger of Allah. He said, If you are hurried (by someone) or obstructed (from orgasm) and do not ejaculate, then you do not have to take a bath, but you should perform ablution.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْحَكَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ ّرَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ فَخَرَجَ رَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَعَلَّنَا أَعْجَلْنَاكَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا أُعْجِلْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ أُقْحِطْتَ فَلَا غُسْلَ عَلَيْكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَلَيْكَ الْوُضُوءُ .

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا گزر قبیلہ انصار کے ایک شخص کے پاس ہوا، آپ نے اسے بلوایا، وہ آیا تو اس کے سر سے پانی کے قطرے ٹپک رہے تھے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: شاید ہم نے تم کو جلد بازی میں ڈال دیا ، اس نے کہا: جی ہاں، اللہ کے رسول! آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب تم جلد بازی میں ڈال دئیے جاؤ، یا جماع انزال ہونے سے قبل موقوف کرنا پڑے تو تم پر غسل واجب نہیں بلکہ وضو کافی ہے ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Abu Ayyub said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'Water (of bath) is for water (of seminal discharge).'

It was narrated that 'Aishah the wife of the Prophet said: When the two circumcised parts meet, then bath is obligatory. The Messenger of Allah and I did that, and we bathed.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that: The Messenger of Allah said: When a man sits between the four parts (arms and legs of his wife) and has intercourse, then bath is obligatory.

It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib from his father, that his grandfather said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'When the two circumcised parts meet, and (the tip of the penis) disappears, then bath is obligatory.'

It was narrated from 'Aishah that: The Prophet said: If anyone of wakes up and sees some wetness, but he does not think that he had an erotic dream, let him have a bath. But if he thinks that he had an erotic dream but he does not see any wetness, then he does not have to take a bath.
