Hammam bin Harith narrated: A guest came and stayed with 'Aishah, and she ordered that he be given a yellow blanket of hers. He had a nocturnal emission on it, and he felt too shy to send it back to send it back to her when it had the traces of that emission on it, so he dipped it in water and then sent it to her. 'Aishah said: 'Why did he spoil our garment? It would have been sufficient for him to scrape it off with his finger. I often scraped it (semen) from the garment of the Messenger of Allah with my finger.'

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَزَلَ بِعَائِشَةَ ضَيْفٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَمَرَتْ لَهُ بِمِلْحَفَةٍ لَهَا صَفْرَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَاحْتَلَمَ فِيهَا فَاسْتَحْيَا أَنْ يُرْسِلَ بِهَا وَفِيهَا أَثَرُ الِاحْتِلَامِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَغَمَسَهَا فِي الْمَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَ بِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ:‏‏‏‏ لِمَ أَفْسَدْتَ عَلَيْنَا ثَوْبَنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَكْفِيكَ أَنْ تَفْرُكَهُ بِإِصْبَعِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏رُبَّمَا فَرَكْتُهُ مِنْ ثَوْبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِإِصْبَعِي .

ہمام بن حارث کہتے ہیں کہ ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس ایک مہمان آیا، انہوں نے مہمان کے لیے اپنی پیلی چادر دینے کا حکم دیا، اسے اس چادر میں احتلام ہو گیا، اسے شرم محسوس ہوئی کہ وہ چادر کو اس حال میں بھیجے کہ اس میں احتلام کا نشان ہو، اس نے چادر پانی میں ڈبو دی، پھر عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس بھیج دیا، عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا: اس نے ہمارا کپڑا کیوں خراب کر دیا؟ اسے تو انگلی سے کھرچ دینا کافی تھا، میں نے اکثر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے کپڑے سے منی اپنی انگلی سے کھرچی ہے۔

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: I remember when I found it (semen) on the garment of the Messenger of Allah and I scratched it off.

It was narrated from Mu'awiyah bin Abu Sufyan that: He asked his sister Umm Habibah, the wife of the Prophet: Did the Messenger of Allah ever offered prayer in a garment in which he had sexual intercourse? She said: Yes, if there was nothing noxious on it.

It was narrated that Abu Darda' said: The Messenger of Allah came out to us with water dripping from his head, and he led us in prayer wearing a single garment, placing its one end on the right shoulder, and the other end on the other shoulder. When he finished praying, 'Umar bin Khattab said to him: 'O Messenger of Allah, did you lead us in prayer wearing a single garment? He said: 'Yes, I perform prayer in it, and in it I (i.e. I had sexual intercourse in it).

It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said: A man asked the Prophet whether he could perform prayer in a garment in which he had intercourse with his wife. He said: 'Yes, unless he sees something on it, in which case he should wash it.'

It was narrated that Hammam bin Harith said: Jarir bin 'Abdullah urinated, then he performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks. Someone asked him: 'Do you do this?' He said: 'Why shouldn't I? I saw the Messenger of Allah doing this.' Ibrahim (who narrated it from Hammam) said: They were pleased by the Hadith of Jarir because he accepted Islam after the revelation of Ma'idah.
