It was narrated from 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah bin 'Umar that his father said: I heard the Messenger of Allah being asked about water in the wilderness that is frequented by beasts and predators. The Messenger of Allah said: If the water reaches the amount of two Qullah, nothing can make it impure (Najis).' (Sahih) Another chain with similar wording.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْمَاءِ يَكُونُ بِالْفَلَاةِ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَا يَنُوبُهُ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالسِّبَاعِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا بَلَغَ الْمَاءُ قُلَّتَيْنِ لَمْ يُنَجِّسْهُ شَيْءٌ .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے صحراء اور میدان میں واقع ان گڈھوں کے پانی کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا جن سے مویشی اور درندے پانی پیتے رہتے ہیں، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب پانی دو قلہ ( دو بڑے مٹکے کے برابر ) ہو تو اسے کوئی چیز ناپاک نہیں کرتی ۱؎۔

It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri that: The Prophet was asked about the water basins located between Makkah and Al-Madinah, which were visited by wild animals, dogs and donkeys, and about using them for means of purification. He said: Whatever they (the animals) have carried in their bellies is for them, and whatever is left over is for us, and is pure.

It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: We came to a pond in which there was the carcass of a donkey, so we refrained from using the water until the Messenger of Allah came to us and said: 'Water is not made impure by anything.' Then we drank from it and gave it to our animals to drink, and we carried some with us.

It was narrated that Abu Umamah Al-Bahili said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'Water is not made impure by anything except that which changes its smell, taste and color.'

It was narrated that Lubabah bint Harith said: Husain bin 'Ali urinated in the lap of the Prophet and I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, give me your garment and put on another garment.' He said: 'Water should be sprinkled on the urine of a baby boy, and the urine of a baby girl should be washed away.'

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: A baby boy was brought to the Prophet who then urinated on him. He sprinkled over it with water and did not wash it.
