Translation

Arabic, English and Urdu

Abdullah bin 'Amr said: I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Perform ablution after (eating) camel meat, but do not perform ablution after (eating) mutton. Perform ablution after (drinking) camel's milk, but do not perform ablution after (drinking) sheep's milk. Perform prayer in the sheep pens but not do in the camels' Ma'atin.'

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ الْفَزَارِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ مُحَارِبَ بْنَ دِثَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِ الْإِبِلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِ الْغَنَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَعَاطِنِ الإِبِلِ .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: اونٹ کے گوشت سے وضو کر لیا کرو، اور بکری کے گوشت سے وضو نہ کرو، اور اونٹنی کے دودھ سے وضو کیا کرو، اور بکری کے دودھ سے وضو نہ کرو، بکریوں کے باڑوں میں نماز پڑھو، اور اونٹ کے باڑوں میں نماز نہ پڑھو ۱؎۔

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that: The Prophet said: 'Rinse your mouths after drinking milk for there is some greasiness in it.

It was narrated that Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet, said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'If you drink milk, then rinse your mouths, for there is some greasiness in it.'

Abdul-Muhaimin bin 'Abbas bin Sahl bin Sa'd As-Sa'di narraed from his father, from his grandfather, that: The Messenger of Allah said: Rinse your mouths after drinking milk, for it has some greasiness in it.

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: The Messenger of Allah milked a sheep and drank some of its milk, then he called for water and rinsed his mouth and said: 'It has some greasiness in it.'

Urwah bin Az-Subair narrated from 'Aishah, that: The Messenger of Allah kissed one of his women (i.e., wives), then he went to perform the prayer, and he did not perform ablution. I ('Urwah bin Zubair) said: That was not anyone but you,' and she smiled.

It was narrated from 'Aishah: The Messenger of Allah would perform ablution, then he would kiss, then he would perform prayer without performing ablution again. And sometimes he did that with me.
