It was narrated that Jabir said: The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) commanded us (to do some things) and forbade us (to do some things), and he commanded us to extinguish our lamps.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ جَابِرٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَهَانَا:‏‏‏‏ فَأَمَرَنَا أَنْ نُطْفِئَ سِرَاجَنَا .
جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں بہت سی باتوں کا حکم دیا، اور بہت سی باتوں سے منع فرمایا: ( ان میں سے ایک بات یہ بھی ہے کہ ) آپ نے ہمیں حکم دیا کہ ہم ( سوتے وقت ) چراغ بجھا دیا کریں۔
