It was narrated from Abu Hurairah(RA) that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, you will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something which, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread (the greeting of) peace among yourselves.'

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ،‏‏‏‏ وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ،‏‏‏‏ لَا تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا،‏‏‏‏ وَلَا تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا،‏‏‏‏ أَوَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى شَيْءٍ إِذَا فَعَلْتُمُوهُ تَحَابَبْتُمْ،‏‏‏‏ أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ بَيْنَكُمْ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، تم جنت میں داخل نہیں ہو سکتے جب تک کہ تم مومن نہ بن جاؤ، اور اس وقت تک مومن نہیں ہو سکتے ہو جب تک کہ آپس میں محبت نہ کرنے لگو، کیا میں تمہیں وہ چیز نہ بتاؤں کہ اگر تم اسے کرنے لگو تو تم میں باہمی محبت پیدا ہو جائے ( وہ یہ کہ ) آپس میں سلام کو عام کرو اور پھیلاؤ ۔

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that: a man entered the masjid, and the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) was sitting in a corner of the mosque. He prayed, then he came and greeted him with Salam(peace), and he said: 'Wa 'alaikassalm.

It was narrated from Abu Salamah that 'Aishah told him that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said to her: Jibrail send (greetings of) Salam to you. She said: Wa 'alahisalam wa rahmatullah (and upon him be peace and mercy of Allah).
