It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:
“We went out with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), intending only to perform Hajj. When we were in Sarif or close to Sarif, my menses came. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered upon me when I was weeping. He said: ‘What is the matter with you? Have your menses come?’ I said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘This is something that Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam. Do all the rites, but do not circumambulate the House.’” She said: “And the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sacrificed a cow on behalf of his wives.”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْأَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا نَرَى إِلَّا الْحَجَّ، فَلَمَّا كُنَّا بِسَرِفَ أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْ سَرِفَ حِضْتُ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا أَبْكِي، فَقَالَ: مَا لَكِ، أَنَفِسْتِ؟ ، قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: إِنَّ هَذَا أَمْرٌ كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ آدَمَ، فَاقْضِي الْمَنَاسِكَ كُلَّهَا، غَيْرَ أَنْ لَا تَطُوفِي بِالْبَيْتِ ، قَالَتْ: وَضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نِسَائِهِ بِالْبَقَرِ.
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نکلے، ہمارے پیش نظر صرف حج کرنا تھا، جب ہم مقام سرف میں تھے یا سرف کے قریب پہنچے تو مجھے حیض آ گیا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میرے پاس آئے، میں رو رہی تھی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تمہیں کیا ہوا؟ کیا حیض آ گیا ہے؟ میں نے کہا: ہاں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ تو ایسی چیز ہے جسے اللہ تعالیٰ نے آدم زادیوں پر لکھ دیا ہے، تم حج کے سارے اعمال ادا کرو، البتہ خانہ کعبہ کا طواف نہ کرنا اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی بیویوں کی طرف سے گائے کی قربانی کی۔
