Translation

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said: Duba’ah bint Zubair bin ‘Abdul- Muttalib came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: “I am a heavy woman and I want to go for Hajj. How should I enter Ihram?” He said: “Enter Ihram and stipulate the condition that you will exit Ihram from the point where you are prevented.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ طَاوُسًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يُحَدِّثَانِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ جَاءَتْ ضُبَاعَةُ بِنْتُ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ ثَقِيلَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَكَيْفَ أُهِلُّ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَهِلِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي .

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ضباعہ بنت زبیر بن عبدالمطلب رضی اللہ عنہا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئیں اور کہنے لگیں: میں ایک بھاری بھر کم عورت ہوں، اور میں حج کا ارادہ بھی رکھتی ہوں، تو میں تلبیہ کیسے پکاروں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم تلبیہ پکارو اور ( اللہ سے ) شرط کر لو کہ جہاں تو مجھے روکے گا، میں وہیں حلال ہو جاؤں گی ۱؎۔

It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas said: “The Prophets used to enter the Haram walking barefoot. They would circumambulate the House and complete all the rituals barefoot and walking.”

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to enter Makkah from the upper mountain pass and when he left, he would leave from the lower mountain pass.

It was narrated that Usamah bin Zaid said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, where will you stay tomorrow?’ That was during his Hajj. He said: ‘Has ‘Aqil left us any house?’ Then he said: ‘Tomorrow we will stay in the valley of Banu Kinanah, Muhassab where the Quraish swore an oath of disbelief.’” That was where the Banu Kinana had sworn an oath with the Quriash against Banu Hashim, that they would not intermarry with them or engage in trade with them. Ma’mar said: “Zuhri said: Khaif means a valley.’”

It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Sarjis said: “I saw the bald forehead of ‘Umar bin Khattab when he kissed the Black Stone and said: ‘I am kissing you, although I know that you are only a stone and you can neither cause harm nor bring benefit. Had I not seen the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) kissing you, I would not have kissed you.’”

It was narrated that Sa’eed bin Jubair said: I heard Ibn ‘Abbas say: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “This Stone will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be given two eyes with which to see, and a tongue with which to speak, and it will bear witness for those who touched it in sincerity.”
